Doctors Planning Exit Under Obamacare

I’d like to see the actual bill too, but the article does say, “The bill provides $25 billion over 10 years to enhance the state pools, so an individual with pre-existing conditions can go and buy at market rates.”

I’m curious how that would work. So if I switch jobs and have a pre-existing condition I can’t take their insurance I have to buy from a pool? Hard to comment without particulars.

I agree, we need to see the bill, but my guess is it will work like it does now. You have 30 days to get on either Cobra or another company sponsored plan.

I have not seen the bill either, and this was done by a committee, but the article talks about some of the parameters that were essential to the bill. All insurance is portable, you can buy a policy across state lines, and you can not be denied for pre-existing conditions if you have had insurance the whole time, but probably the 30 day lapse in coverage pertains like before. Lets see how this evolves, but it is at least will be open for all to see before it can be passed. As of right now Obamacare will happen unless the House votes to defund Obamacare, or the Senate decides to shut down the Government. The people want Obamacare defunded (57%).
