Test was already mid normal range but I asked him if I could try TRT to see if that would help my energy, he said that’s cool and hooked me up with 1cc of test E a week , and getting my blood work checked in a month.
What should I expect from this? Will it make me noticeably bigger? I already train pretty hard and eat perfectly .
So you found a steroid dealer who’s willing to hook you up without proper evaluation. No useful information at all, age, weight, diet, Free T, SHBG, LH and FSH to determine if you even have hypogonadism.
We don’t need a ton of details from him to answer his two questions. He didn’t ask for training, diet, drug advice.
You can expect changes in your body composition, personality, bedroom performance, athletic/gym performance, recovery from injury, sleep, appetite, metabolism, body temperature, and testicle size. To what degree you will experience the above will depend on several factors that, even if you told us every single detail of your life, we could not answer for you. Response to exogenous testosterone is highly variable and no one can accurately predict how you will respond.
It will likely make you noticeably bigger, yes. But again, this is highly variable and no one can predict how you will respond.
Neither of these two assumptions are true at all. We don’t know what his T levels were before nor what they are now. I’ve personally seen several people with adequate T hop onto treatment only to gain a net zero.
1cc isn’t a dosage, it’s just a volume, so no way to really say if it’ll make you bigger or not. If it gets your TT up pretty high (I’m guessing it will) then yeah, you’d likely see a bit of muscle gain. Going from normal to high-normal doesn’t mean much in the gym.
In Aus a doctor could easily have his license revoked for this…
1CC is either 200 or 250mg/wk right? That doctor is a sikkunt… but also irresponsible
What he’s done here isn’t TRT. The “trt” part should =/= getting levels back to normal. What you’ve asked is “I feel sub-par, can I see what having supraphysiological concentrations of testosterone feels like”
That’s not TRT. For some, they feel really good. If higher dose test didn’t leave me feeling restless/in a constantly hyperadrenergic state, I’d also opt for it. But I’m not a fan
When I started TRT I could tolerate it… It was somewhat fun having a TT in the low 1000’s with low SHBG and sky high FT. No discernable effects on bloodwork, not even HCT elevation
But I felt ‘off’… cardio (for me) suffered a lot, and it exacerbated underlying dysautonomia. Each to their own. I REALLY like 100mg/wk relative to a hypogonadal baseline.
A guy that fits that description came into ExcelMale recently. He was 6 ft tall, 125 lbs, tall and skinny, almost no muscle, low IGF-1, low-T and in his 30’s.
One guy on a forum who seems to fit the bill (if we ignore the eating disorder) makes it interesting but wouldn’t say that qualifies as seeing it regularly?
@TheMeatMan
You may see a difference in recovery which should obviously help with growth, however if you then come off you risk loosing this as your natural levels with be very low and take time to recover (worth reading up on PCTs).
Bearing in mind I’m not a doctor but I do take higher levels of test than I should for just that reason. And yes I’d say its a pretty silly reason if you value your health long term.
