That quote is awesome. That’s ‘Powerful Words’ shit right there.
Nonetheless, I still believe in all this stuff. I’ve seen/heard too many things, and again, the more you read down through history about it the more you learn. And people will say, “Well, those were uneducated people in an uneducated time”
Sure, I suppose they were and you now have your scientific theories and beliefs to debunk a lot. However, to me, it is like the 6’2". 130 lbs guy who reads all he can on these forums and starts these super advanced, weird ass, overly complicated TBT programs because science says it is the right thing to do. 5 years later, that guy is 136 lbs.
Some ‘uneducated, unscientific’ meathead who gets in there and does a bodypart split defying all laws of science manages to somehow gain 100 lbs in those 5 years and winds up jacked. Just because there is logic there or you can scientifically explain something, it doesn’t make it right.
End point- Sometimes the more ‘educated’ we become, the fucking stupider we get.

But think about it - many of these legendary beliefs of supernaturals are similar. There are very similar variations all around the world. They had to have come from somewhere.

By the way, I saw something on Discovery where they actually caught a giant squid I believe. It was awhile back I don’t remember the details.
They find dead giant squid periodically. Discovered was the first to capture footage of a living one. Because the creatures exist at such extreme depths, it’s tough to find them, and they can’t really survive near the surface. I’m not sure why geminspector put them on a list along with the Loch Ness monster and those other mythical creatures.
edit to add - skinwalker stories are freaky. Add them to the list…
There is no doubt that Giant Squids exist. Several carcasses have washed up on beaches and legitimate pictures have been taken. Science doesn’t even question that they exist.
Speaking of Giant squids, did anyone see a show (I believe it was on History) a little while back about giant Hubble squid? The theory was that there were monstrous hubble squids living in the sea of cortes. Only no one ever saw them because they never came to the surface. Instead they would simply cannibalize the smaller squids when they dove down into the deep water.
The researchers managed to trap a squid and attacked a camera to it. When it dove down into the deep they caught a glimpse of a HUUUUGE squid waiting for it. They estimated that the squid was anywhere from about 60 (if it was a giant hubble) to 108 (if it was an Architeuthis/giant squid) feet long.
Yes, exactly. Even if it is all in your head, your head has some dark recesses that shouldn’t be fucked with. I don’t believe in demons literally, but I do believe the UN guy when he said the people he was dealing with were no longer human.
While in college, a bunch of us went off to a friend’s house a couple of hours away for the weekend. My gf (future wife) and I were sleeping together in one of the bedrooms. I had two dreams in fairly quick succession. In the first dream, I awoke (seemingly in my dream) to see an old woman all dressed in white, standing at the foot of the bed with a dog. They seemed nice and I held out my hand to the dog and he licked it. Then I fell back asleep in my dream. The second dream, I again woke up (seemingly in my dream) but this time, the same old woman was all dressed in black and didn’t seem nearly as nice. There was just a feeling of foreboding. Again, I held out my hand to the dog, only this time, it nipped the end of my index finger. At that point, I forced myself back to sleep.
In the morning over breakfast, our friend asked us if anyone saw their ghost. And my gf says she woke up during the night and saw an old lady in white at the foot of the bed looking at us. She described her just as I saw her. I then looked down at my finger and noticed that there was a slice taken out of the fleshy part on the tip. I kid not.
We are still really good friends with the people who owned the house and several years later, we were all reminiscing about the weekend and they told us that one of the previous owners was an old woman who lived alone and died in the house as a result of falling down the stairs. The room we slept in was the room immediately at the top of the stairs. Weird huh?
Whether you believe in ghosts or not, I sure as hell defy anyone to explain that one.

Mmm. Think I’m gullible? OK, Strike Alien Abductions from the list, but add the Tooth Fairy.

I have never seen a ghost. But I find it interesting that people talk about theoretical higher dimensions, time travel being possible, worm holes, etc. and no one looks at them like they are crazy. But you mention the idea of a Ghost and you’re nuts.
One man’s magic is another man’s science. Maybe there is an explanation for things that we don’t understand. Look up the posting that examined the 10 dimensions. How can you ever prove such a thing?
Everyone has to come up with an answer for themselves; but everything, including science, spirituality, and aetheism, boils down to the same thing: this is what I beleive with the information I have and I hope I’m right. The only wrong choice is to not allow yourself to be open to new information.
My friend and I have seen some weird stuff. He has seen more, but I don’t feel like telling his stories as they are exactly that, his stories. Still, there was one at his house that happened to me, but I do need to go a little back. On New Years, we decided, along with one more person, to watch some ghost videos to scare ourselves in the middle of the night. This habit continued.
So, we were in my friends house (the one that has had weird shit happen to him), and we watched this one movie on YouTube. Yes, I know; it’s YouTube. How real could it be? The video we watched with one person panting and panning around the room. This seemed to be in Eastern Asia (some weird shit goes on there). The camera turns to face a window, turns away from it, then starts turning back. At first, it’s just a window with blinds. Then, all of a sudden, there was a demon girl. The camera drops, and some freaking noises started. My friend and I could not watch that video any longer so we turned it off.
After that night, that’s when everything weird started to happen. On the night of the Super Bowl (maybe it was foreshadowing that even weirder shit was going to happen-the Giants winning). It all started with me. We were eating dorritos, but I got sick of them and put them on the opposite corner of the table from my chair. I got up and drank some water. I sat down. No one moved. All of a sudden, I get up and see a bunch of dorritos on my lap. Yes, comical, but it was some weird shit. Then, the same friend saw a face in a mirror. Just a face.
I know it’s nothing compared to some of the other stuff here, and I know I will be laughed at for the Dorritos thing, but it was some weird shit.
