DNC 2012

No, I know what you guys are saying. It’s like, if I had to choose a President for the sole purpose of running us into the ground, Obama is totally the guy I’d rather have do it.

And your post will end up right in the middle of it.

YUCK!
Ewww! You’re right! I’ve gotta shower immediately!!!

But mostly, I was referring to the vitriol and unsubstantiated claims made prior to my comment. For whatever’s it’s worth, I can’t stand it when dems do that too. It’s why I hate talking politics with my parents.

And again for whatever it’s worth, I don’t think you were part of the problem in this thread. Actually in general, once I figured out your internet persona I’ve never really had an issue with any of your posts. I’d say you’re one of the more ingenuous posters. You’re kind of like a conservative Pitt.
So you end in an insult?

Sheesh…

So what are your guys thoughts on Clinton’s speech?
It was very good, if way too long. But it is solid proof that Obama has a fraction of Clinton’s talent and political intelligence.

Clinton can make a speech and do two things: (1) address a political subject with the intellectual horsepower of an academic wonk, and (2) communicate it like he is just having a conversation with you after bumping into you at the grocery store. Love him or hate him, he understands how to govern, he understands political priorities, and he is literate and knowledgeable in all relevant political topics.

Obama fails on all three counts, and I am not sure having Clinton speak was such a great idea - for many, it may highlight the gulf between Clinton and Obama, in terms of both talent and record (people think fondly of the prosperity of the 1990s).
Agreed. Neither Obama nor Romney will give a speech like that in this cycle. Or ever. Whatever you think about Clinton’s politics, the guy is effective in a way that few politicians are.
I am objective enough to admit that Clinton is a good orator. But I think Romney did a really good job at the convention. And I also thought that Ann Romney knocked it out of the park as well. And I’m sure you wouldn’t want to compare Paul Ryan’s speech with what is coming from uncle Joe Biden.

Chris Christie however was a total disappointment.

LMAO!

Glad Christmas came early for you Max. Living in the la la land you deserve it.

I wonder how much air play that will get from the MSLM?

I’m with you on that Sloth. I don’t think that anyone could that better than Obama. Look what he’s done in just four years. The man can wreck stuff really, really well!

If I had to choose one speech, maybe Rubio’s.

Both Ann and Mitt Romney did well. I guess what I’m getting at is that, whenever I watch Clinton speak, I think to myself, “damn, he’s good,” but I’m usually chuckling and shaking my head as I say it.

I disagree re:Ryan’s speech. Very short on details and in certain spots unnecessarily misleading. In fact, Clinton’s best moment was when he was talking about the Medicaid half-truth that Ryan was jumping on.

Not that big Joe will do better. And I agree with the poster above who said that Obama’s speech will probably be the same thing we’ve been hearing for a long time. Even his intonation tend to be exactly the same. It’s like deja vu.

To defend Ryan convention speech’s are not known for their factual depth. In fact Bill Clinton’s speech has already been ripped apart by the various Internet fact checks.

It is usually just red meat to the faithful. And while Ryan is no Clinton I think he did a really good job. And he shows great promise. But then again you have to really like what he is all about and as a conservative I do.

Hey Pitt we don’t give a fuck about your little flip-flop video.

Is that clear?

Obama wrecked the economy and we need someone who can fix it as Obama is inept at best and at worst he’s doing it on purpose to build a socialist utopia. Either way the topic is OBAMA SUCKS.

Want a little video to show you how he did it?

What is ironic about it is that going strictly by his record Romney could have run as a Democrat. Then the same people that embrace him currently would be just as willing to throw him under the bus.
Total nonsense!

I’ve never seen a democrat lower taxes 19 times, and fix the budget by actually having a 2 billion dollar budget surplus as Romney did in Massachusetts.

The difference between Obama and Romney is like night and day.
Romney easily could have run as a Democrat with most of his record. Supporter of a national health care plan. Pro choice. Willingness to “spin” every decision.
Mitt Romnbey may run as a Democrat 2016

I really enjoyed the outtakes from Millionaire Michelle Obama’s speech rehearsal, as she talked about her extreme poverty, being that Obama was given only $125,000 to write a book in law school about being a black guy president (an elected position – not an earned position) on the Harvard Law Review. (I got by during my first year at Harvard Law School, raising my daughters, by working as a bartender in Allston, MA in an Irish bar.)

In fact, I enjoyed it so much, found the prep speech on youtube for you to enjoy.

Depending on the year, you may have gotten me drunk.

I mean, why not put a illegal immigrant on stage.

“Prom Queens, Valedictorians, Football captains are now free to stay in america” BARF

What about the gang-banger’s, the millions if illegals on the public dole…what about the massive amount of the prison population that are illegal immigrants?*

Vote pandering at it’s finest, apparently the rule of law no longer applies.
