So what are your guys thoughts on Clinton’s speech?
It was very good, if way too long. But it is solid proof that Obama has a fraction of Clinton’s talent and political intelligence.

Clinton can make a speech and do two things: (1) address a political subject with the intellectual horsepower of an academic wonk, and (2) communicate it like he is just having a conversation with you after bumping into you at the grocery store. Love him or hate him, he understands how to govern, he understands political priorities, and he is literate and knowledgeable in all relevant political topics.

Obama fails on all three counts, and I am not sure having Clinton speak was such a great idea - for many, it may highlight the gulf between Clinton and Obama, in terms of both talent and record (people think fondly of the prosperity of the 1990s).
Agreed. Neither Obama nor Romney will give a speech like that in this cycle. Or ever. Whatever you think about Clinton’s politics, the guy is effective in a way that few politicians are.

Fewer things in life have given me more joy, than to see my useless mayor Tony Villar take a shit on national TV.

Thank you DNC, I can check that off my bucket list.

He truly did suck it hard…I love the name change to get that La Raza vote!!

South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Dick Harpootlian compared his state?s Republican governor, Nikki Haley, to Eva Braun, the longtime mistress of Adolf Hitler.

More tolerance from the party of tolerance, … oh and they love women too.

+3 Reagan and Clinton could bring it like nobody else.

Clinton did some sketchy things in his day…but I would take him in a cardiac heartbeat over Obama.

He cheated on his wife, so he added her last name to his.

Nothing says “I’m innocent” more than changing your last name to appease your dismissed wife.

He also had a 1.4 GPA and still was accepted to UCLA, who the fuck can pull that off ?

cough*** affirmative action*** cough

I have to say I am not a fan. He, his family (in particular, his mom), and La Raza are also historically anti-Israel and pro-terrorist.

In fact, here is La Raza meeting with Yasser Arafat.

Why a group supposedly dedicated to the dominance of Mexicans (and not Hispanics, but rather Mexicans) over the southwest USA found need to meet with terrorists and support attacks on Jewish people in Israel is beyond my comprehension.

That’s crazy…I had no idea.

La Raza trying to push into Utah, Mormons are tolerant, but they killed their share of people to get Utah, and they ain’t giving it back…so the militant hispanics are moving into Idaho and it’s causing quite a stir with the white supremacists up there.

It’s funny, most mexicans look at La Raza like their crazy uncle, but the one’s I know just think hispanics will breed everybody else out in the Southwest in the next two generations.

Race war in 5…4…3…2…

Because there were FBI reports that Al Qaeda was working with Mexican Drug Cartels and MS-13 gangs.

Well now there is an idea…

Too late, already posted that.

Still reeling from the dumb.

But to be fair, I’m sure you could have found your fair share of idiots at the RNC, and Shiff deffo only put the dumbasses in the clip.

VAn Jones is still a pussy.

My bad Beans, I thought it was only on G+

“Nobody should make any money”

It’s just such a telling example of…stupid.

Can Obama top Clinton’s speech ?

It’s okay, you belong to the government.

Why do so many men nowadays infantalize women? You’re basically saying women are such delicate flowers that they are unable to be responsible for their own actions. A big evil man took advantage of this “helpless” woman.

Pure white knight thinking
Are you serious? The entire Democratic platform is devoted to the concept that women are delicate flowers that are unable to be responsible for their own actions. See “Life of Julia” or whatever that was officially called - the composite “Julia” couldn’t do a damn thing in life but for special dispensations being doled out to her for her entire life.

Not only that - the Democrats are running on it - the so-called “war on women” is a claim that the GOP simply wants to turn its back on helping women out. But why do they need all this help if they are strong enough to be responsible for their own actions?
Yep. Sandra Fluke. HHS Mandate.
I know right? She’s just trying to get the government to pay for her whore pills.
Didn’t realize you felt that way.

Probably not

Also, regardless of how good/bad Obama’s speech is, I’m pretty sure it will just be the same stuff hes said over and over again. Every time I hear him talk it’s like I’ve already heard this speech before.

I think it would be pretty telling, if the highlight of the DNC was Clinton’s speech.

How many people at the DNC wish he was still running the show ?

I sort of noticed the same thing, but figured it was because I was looking for reasons to not like him more than I already don’t like him.

I always gave him credit though, I like the way he talks and would imagine in a one-on-one he could sway most people, myself included. I like the way he says things, not so much what he is saying though. If that makes any sense.

Agreed. I was extremely discouraged when when he won in 08 because I didn’t like his platform (although I had no idea at the time that he’d be this…um, well bad). But I also remember as opposed to him as I was at the time his inauguration speech still managed to give me this sort of optimistic, “man I like this guy” vibe. And that’s coming from opposition views. So in some sense I don’t think it is surprising so many people fell for it. I knew enough to not believe his policy ideas, but just like good marketing it made me feel good anyway.
