considering the fact that Disney World is like the biggest theme park in the world catered towards children… yea, I’m not surprised that something like this could happen there. It’s tragic and atrocious, and the people involved should rot in hell. Do you have evidence that the people arrested in this sting were overwhelmingly politically liberal? I have not seen that, but I’ve only read a few articles on this particular situation.

To be honest, id prefer to not see any evidence of this. Although i normally don’t care for do nothing legislature, i think I’m okay with this one… it may do nothing, but in the slightest chance that it does do something - it will have been worthwhile IMO.
Most of the time the govt is slow to act and does too little too late (take covid checks for example) but this law allows itself to be used proactively, rather than retroactively. Again, this time - I’m okay with it.
Some additional thoughts on this subject.
For those asking for “evidence”, how do you explain the explosion in Gender Dysphoria, which was formerly understood to be a very rare condition manifesting in mostly very young boys?
Have Americans undergone a major genetic change in the last several years?
Have all of these kids been this way the entire time, simply being unable to reach this proper understanding of themselves due to transphobia?
If so, why don’t older Americans now identify as LGTBQ and specifically transgender at similar rates as younger generations?
If it isn’t being taught to children, how are children arriving at this new understanding of themselves? If it is helpful to teach this to them, why are we seeing dramatically increasing numbers of children (and adults) undergoing this traumatic identity crisis that is linked to horrific human outcomes?
To be clear, we are talking about instances where schools in the USA have legal obligations to not inform parents that their child has adopted a trans identity and is pursing medical treatment. To be clear, we are talking about literally having LGBTQ pride parades in early elementary school. To be clear, we are talking about severely misguided educators exploiting the public trust to use valuable education opportunities to explain private details about their love lives to kids.
Most parents do not want this at all. Not even a little bit of it. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to raise straight kids and not wishing to implant ideas that might cause, I don’t know, an identity crisis that results in your daughter suspending puberty, chopping off her breasts as a child and making a facsimile penis out of remnant tissue.
There is no shortage of adult behaviors that have no place being discussed in public schools at all, especially among the youngest and most vulnerable among us. Trans and gay lifestyles are definitely on that list for me for a good long while. At some point your kids will likely wise up to the world around them, but that’s no reason to rush your child out of what little innocence they get on this planet.
I don’t think we need to hit the gas pedal on shoving more of this down kid’s throats before we arrive at the conclusion that something isn’t right. The Florida bill is, in fact, a very tolerant policy. The opponents don’t want tolerance, they want deference. That’s a very significant difference.

Edit: but seriously…maybe the deinstitutionalization of mental health in America. One of the best men I’ve ever worked with used to throw that out as the reason for many things with which we were dealing, and I gradually came to agree that it was a possibility.
Dude, there is a bill, with majority support that just stated that, a bill that’s likely to pass as there is a democrat super majority.
It seems you have a normalcy or decency bias, that doesn’t allow you to comprehend the level of evil a great many people are capable of. The fact that the bill was reluctantly modified from perinatal death, to perinatal death from pregnancy issues or accidents, should tell you exactly how many people support perinatal “abortion”. It’s a lot. And itls a lot of people in positions of power to boot.
I don’t know if the fed has jurisdiction to stop it, but this administration ain’t gonna do it. And you want to believe this is just a fringe minority? A fringe minority cannot get a bill passed that would allow the killing of born babies, so long as it looks like an accident. That requires a lot of people.

Are you suggesting that transgender people are hung for explaining who they are? What did I miss from the article to justify that.
I don’t get all this outrage, in England LGBTQ is taught in primary school and it’s not a hassle, teachers don’t explain the mechanics just that peoples brains don’t match their bodies sometime. Maybe USA teachers explain it differently.
And I see nothing in that Disney video that causes outrage except for Ben Shapiro putting himself up as biology expert. After his wap rant I’m not taking his word on anything related to genitalia. A Disney exec saying there isn’t enough queer stories in Disney movies is right, there isn’t. Lots of stories about princesses tho.

I don’t think anyone disputes transgender people don’t exist. I don’t think most people don’t think it comes from the brain. I just think most people see it as a disorder like bipolar or schizophrenia.
