In public schools, yes. There are too many religions to teach to anyone, let alone trying to explain these things to small children.
Where are you going with this line of thought?

Where are you going with this line of thought?
Only curious.
Since weâre being curious, do you have kids?
I do. 5 year old son and a baby on the way.
Do you think you can cover topics with your children at the time and place you feel is right (or simply avoid them, if you so choose) like religion, sexuality and adult behaviors without help from the public schools?
If so, why is it important to leave the door open for this sort of instruction in classrooms?
Of course I can.
Never said it was important, but I donât see this causing the type of harm you seem to be upset about.
The harm is happening now. There is no explanation I find plausible for the increased rates of gender dysphoria other than the notion that it is a social contagion. It was a very rare condition manifesting mostly in very young boys for as long as mental disorders have been kept track of, untilâŠ
We started âspreading awarenessâ to children. This is not surprising to anyone who has raised children to adulthood and kept their eyes open across your childâs friendships. You can plant any idea in a kidâs mind that you want, and if you water the idea enough it will never be un-rooted.
How else do you explain a guy like Hiro Onoda, who grew up in a time when his entire generation was being groomed to worship the Japanese Emperor as a God. This idea of Imperial Divinity wasnât even a few decades old at the time either. Imperial Japan is an eye-opening display of what social engineering beginning at very young ages can lead to, and how it can unfold quite quickly. It only takes a couple of decades.
Why? Because kids will believe anything.

I did not make up a scenario this time
Kids are being taught to be gay or being made aware of of it?
Seriously dude? The first post in this thread is a video with Walt Disney Executives explaining, in plain English, their intentions to make kids aware of not just gay lifestyles, but trans as well. If you had watched the video, youâd know that one of the Disney executives has two kids, one trans and one pansexual.
Are you just here to gaslight?
Yes, seriously. You posted a link about a soldier who was indoctrinated his whole life. His actions were a result of what he was taught, not what he was made aware of.
You answered my question. Disney executives want to make kids aware, not teach them to be gay.
Boys are made aware that girls exist. Are we seeing an increased number of boys wanting to be girls because of that?
Weird how genetics work.
Thatâs not weird genetics. That is stupidity.
Where does spreading awareness end and teaching begin? Not so easy to answer.
But yes, youâre very much gaslighting here. That data continue to pour in. Who could have possibly imagined that suggesting to children that boys might be girls and girls might be boys, letting that make that call about themselves at a VERY young age, then pumping them full of the wrong sexâs hormones and, on top of that, mutilating their bodies might cause more problems than it solves over time?
If you want more of it, teach kids that it is good.
Sorry, last edit.
In this situation awareness would be letting them know that these different genders exist.
Teaching them to be gay would literally be the teacher saying âok boys each of you now need to stop liking girls and only like boysâ
The data shows an increase, not why there is an increase.
I understand. Well, I believe that we should trust parents to draw their own distinctions about how much awareness theyâd like to spread to their young children about this topic, along with how often it should be done and with an explanation, or lack thereof, that they find appropriate for their child.
I donât see the harm in closing the door on this topic to public educators in elementary schools. Just donât touch it with a 10 foot pole. The same kind of distance youâd keep from a devout Jehovaâs Witnesses who brings very personal beliefs about the world. Thereâs no need to explain it in detail if he brings any of it up. Thatâs an easy decision to shut the conversation down and get back to making kids better at the important things, like RRR and how to discern true from false.
Iâm not disagreeing. I just donât have the same outrage you do because I donât think itâs as harmful as you, and others on here, are making it out to be.
I understand. Hereâs a thought experiment, and no need to answer if you donât want because it is a personal question, but one I think any parent should think about.
If your 5 year-old son began telling you that heâs a girl tomorrow, what would you do?
What if it kept up for next month or two after that in perhaps a variety of ways?
Would you affirm that idea your child is holding in his mind?
Repeat this for any age for any of your children, no matter their sex.
Would you treat an idea like your child being transgender differently than an idea like your child calling themselves a terminator robot, a ninja, or an Alaskan bear hunter, assuming they arenât actually one of those three totally awesome things?
Yeah wouldnât take it seriously at first. I would have a hard time believing a child that age would be mature enough to know.
Again youâre making the assumption that awareness will lead to this.
Do you think teaching young boys about girls will make them want to transition?
So with your naturally limited human effort, you can spend it trying to see more, or instead continue arguing from ignorance

And I read earlier today about hormone treatment on school children without parents knowing, but I couldnât easily re-find it. I was confident that was from sparkyo also, but maybe not
