You seem to be assuming you’re claim is true without any evidence. It could simply be that these things are being taught in school because more children are feeling free to “come out”. The teaching might be an attempt at making others aware of these realities for the sake of acceptance and not ridiculing these people to the point of suicide and depression for the rest of their lives.

I could very well be wrong. I don’t think there is data or evidence to prove one way or the other.

This is exactly the concern.

I get that.

Are you concerned that making children aware of these things will force them to adapt it?

No, at least not directly, but hear me out

A straight 12-13 year old boy who doesn’t really fit in, doesn’t have many friends in school, and has spotty parental support hears about being born the wrong gender. He mulls it over as it’s a confusing time for everyone - sees some dudes wearing makeup on youtube that are incredibly popular, so he decides to put on some of his mother’s foundation before going to school the next day.

On a normal day, he doesn’t get much attention because he’s reserved
but today there’s people looking at him because now he’s interesting. He sits down for lunch at his usual empty table and is met by some classmates he’s never talked to before, and they start supporting him (because they think he’s coming out of the closet) which only garners more attention
something he’s desperate to have. Rumors spread and now there’s a whole network of people that want to talk to him. He’s popular now because people think he’s trans.

He goes home and thinks back about the day and realizes for the first time in his life he has friends and is popular. He decided that he didn’t want to keep up with the whole makeup thing, but now he’s been reinforced by this whole crew of people because it’s not just socially accepted to be trans, its encouraged.

He’s now left with 2 choices

  1. Keep putting on makeup and acting trans because he has friends now (even though he doesn’t really want to be trans).
  2. Tell people at school he wasn’t sure so he was just experimenting and realized it wasn’t for him, so he loses all his ‘friends’.

Which choice do you think he makes?

Oh there is. Its called Darwinism. Do you think that a species, any species, would thrive when more and more of its population decided to be ‘gay’. No, its simple logic they would die off. Only a modern society with reverse Darwinism and social engineering allows such things to flourish.

An attention seeker will do anything for it, even this. I have a hard time believing that will be the outcome for the majority of boys in this situation.

You’re talking about a teenage boy with crazy hormones and probably dying for some female attention. He’ll do anything for it. Not sure coming out as trans will get him attention with the right girls.

I’m not sure the vast majority are encouraging young kids to be trans. Not saying there isn’t a very small group that is. Either way I think this is being blown out or proportion.

No one decides to be gay. Let’s say you’re right and this causes many straight boys to “decide” to be gay. Their hormones will quickly correct that.

Ok lets say I agree that

If that were the case, its genetic. In any species without social engineering these genetics would die off as they could not procreate. No?

And yet they haven’t.

Show me a study of other ‘gay’ animals that represents a 100% increase in gay population in the last decade.

Humans still produce offspring that have very low chances of reproducing. Down’s syndrome is what I think of. It isn’t people with Down’s syndrome that are producing more people with Down’s syndrome.

I think a certain amount of people will be attracted to their own sex regardless of their environment supporting it or not. We just see it more if the environment supports it. Sexuality is more of a spectrum than a one or the other I think. In a society that doesn’t accept it, those sort of in the middle (bi), will likely choose the straight option as that is accepted. If they are more towards or all the way gay they likely stay single (see Lindsey Graham).

I agree with what you said and this part is exactly my point.

I can’t and you’re making a big assumption that there is an increase in the gay population. I’m sure you can imagine how difficult if would have been for the vast majority to come out as gay until recently. Could simply be more people are now comfortable coming out today than yesterday.

No I’m not. Those are survey based facts. Data doesn’t lie. YOU are making the assumption with your speculation.

I think I’ve said what I meant to say to this point. I can’t debate speculation or assumptions.

You’re saying people are admitting that they’ve decided to be gay on surveys?

Either there is an increase in the gay population because more people are “deciding” to be gay, or there are more actual gay people in this generation, or what I suggested in regards to feeling free to come out.

show me another species that implemented castration, electro shock ‘therapy’ and lobotomies upon discovery of gay individuals.

Just saying. The number of people publicly identifying as gay has certainly increased, but I have serious doubts that the percentage of the population that is gay has actually changed substantially.

Exactly my point. Surveys are based on what a person is willing to say/admit to. We know that it is very often the case that people will be dishonest/misrepresent their beliefs in surveys if they feel guilt or shame over said beliefs, even when told that their answers will not be associated with their identities. Public acceptability of homosexuality over time should absolutely be expected to produce different survey results.

Obviously I can’t as its a social engineered concept. No other species has the capability to do so but I bet you would see alienation for said sub species by their peers just the same.

We can agree to disagree. At least you don’t flip flop on your views like others. I appreciate the open dialogue and legitimate conversation pieces.

Right so there are probably even MORE gay people than are in even the current surveys. Still nobody is denying my original point. Gay, outside of social engineering, would be limited in spectrum due to inability to procreate. Any other species cannot push agenda or adopt/instill gay indoctrine. Any other species certainly can’t be trans. Ever see a trans gorilla?

It nullifies any argument that feelings are irrelevant. One could argue feelings are facts as they are real.
