Disabled/Paralyzed Bodybuilders Out There?

Hello mate, I have to say, huge respect to you, for what you do, and the humble, positive and hardworking attitude you’ve maintained. Legend.

I was paralysed on my left side after a brain haemmorhage, couldn’t walk, fortunately I was able to re-learn after a few years so our situations aren’t really comparable, but i did once know your pain.

There is a guy i’ve seen training in gyms in my town before, with a big upper body, who has a wheelchair. One thing I saw he had, was a kind of harness, where he strapped to a bench when pressing or whatever. This must have helped, he put up some heavy weights! I guess it was serving the same purpose as pushing your feet through the floor, providing a steady base to transfer force through. Maybe you could find one

All the best

i guess it just comes to show that we can loose alot at any given moment… yet we who are more fortunate don’t even eralize how much we take for granted. i hate leg training, but thank God that at least i still have legs, and i appreciate the inspiration you’ve been. most people would just stop after such an incident but you continue to pursue your goal- even after losing 50 pounds of progress! yet, you wouldn’t even let that stop you and that, sir, is truly badass. God bless you, and i pray that you’ll find hope in Him.

Brand new here to this site/forum. I am a paraplegic (T6-complete) who is 15 yrs post injury. I lift 6X a week, try to hit 3-4 days of cardio, and eat pretty clean.

Welcome!^

Welcome aboard, Chris (I assume)!!!
