I know I am going to burn for saying this, but last week I quit smoking after ten years, I just turned 20. I finally realized that I needed to quit when I saw my training was going no where. Anyway, I feel great and I am already seeing differences when I train, all around better, and the lifting is very theraputic for me. That is the problem though, on the days that I don’t lift I feel on edge all day long and ready to get into a fight with anyone that fucks with me. To make things worse I live with two big lazy computer nerds and they annoy the shit out of me so I feel like beating the shit out of them. Do you guys have any idea on how and where I should direct my aggresion on non-training days? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Go to a boxing gym and start heavy bag training.
Here are some things that have worked for some people I know. Hunt small animals such as skunks, cats and possums. You may use such weapons as sticks, mace,pellet guns and double-edged daggers. You will not believe the killing rush you feel.
Another popular method is to set traps for people. Park in a bad neighborhood with your windows down and your CD player exposed. If neccesary,apply JL Audio stickers to your car. Pack a 9mm, and hide until someone tries to jack your shit. Ill let you figure out the rest.
The point is, you can figure out some way to release your aggression. Hurting someone who needs it is an effective way, and since they deserved it, so your conscience is clear.
I vote for the heavy bag training myself.
I agree with Patricia, the heavy bag is a great way to work off your aggresion.
Just pummel your roomates and get it over with! Everyone needs to give a good beating every once in a while. Just make sure you have enough money for the rest of the rent.
If you don’t have a heavy bag just string up one of your roommates ,or both of them.

I know the feeling! My roomate can annoy the crap out of me with his negative attitude and his whining. What helps sometimes is music. What I do is close my door and put on my headphones. I listen to a few very fast, aggresive songs, then when I get a little tired of that and feeling a little mellow, I put on some moderate paces music, then I listen to jazz and/or other optimistic stuff. It’s a progression of you will. I also try to focus on my breathing. When I listen to the fast stuff I don’t care, but when I put on the mellow stuff I try to take deep breaths, and think of calming things. I know it sounds dumb, but it has helped me. Take up a martial art like Aikido. You get to grap and throw, as well as be grabbed and thrown. Very good therapy and it can prove useful.

Take a long, hard run, volunteer at the Y.M.C.A. to put your workout experience to use to help someone else, other volunteer work–soup kitchens, various clubs, any humanitarian efforts, hangout with positive people, lots to do to with your aggression. Try it out. Good luck.

Picture the person or thing you are pissed off at and punch the shit out of it. After that you are too tired to give a shit.
