Nadia- that’s the first thing doctors do is blow off your thyroid symptoms and start treating you for other stuff and prescribe meds for depression just to shut people up, instead of getting to the root of the problem. I have chronic fatigue and I’m depressed because I have an untreated under-active thyroid.

yep, had a good day. And the good food didn’t even budge the scale this am which is weird.

But then I had horrible nights sleep and I got a message from my Dr that peesed me off. Basically I was asking for some follow up labs and she wrote back:

“I see that you have seen the endocrinologist-she should be ordering your labs now so that she can track the levels she wants. I ask that you get the order from her so she can follow.”

I wrote back that I was not happy with that lady and she doesn’t even want to see me for another YEAR because I am “NORMAL,” and to follow up with my PCM if need be(because she’s thorough, good, etc)

I just need a fucking Dr. that knows and understands my theory and can put me on THE RIGHT MEDS so I can GET ON WITH MY LIFE. I didn’t write that, but so so sooo wanted to.

We’ll see what she writes back.

Split looks good! I know you’re limited on the quad work, but I think you’ll hit them anyways with your lower body work - and frankly your quads are nom as is. I forgot what the verdict was on the box squats? They hurt right?

I have a couple good leads on some good QUALITY endos. Ones that LISTEN and know more than a textbook tell them.
I’m putting in a new referral today.

Hey Mimsy, have you thought of looking for a DO? They’re supposed to be a bit more holistic and empathetic in their training but do all the things MDs can do since they go through the same internship process. Might be worth a try to see if there are any in your area.

What’s a DO?
Most holistic/alternative type Docs who give more than two shits don’t do insurance. We can’t afford that.

I found a good one. Fingers crossed!! I just gotta put the referral in, get it accepted and hopefully not wait months to get seen.

I think it’s just a matter of adding another certain hormone to the mix. The one that gives you ENERGY!!!
