I had my appointment yesterday and got my new meds.
He is starting me at 1 grain and will test again in 6 weeks.
I have this baaaad feeling Iām going to get āstuck,ā at just 1 grain because he is a TSH worshiper. He doesnāt test FT3 :down: In other words he is very textbook and goes by certain lab values that are useless.
But at least now I have a script for Armour and I can find an out of pocket doc who has a clue.
Or maybe Iām jumping the gun and heāll be willing to up my dose even if Iām not feeling like my lab values say I should be feeling. 
I need to start taking Iron and VitD. Even HE recommended it. But he canāt prescribe it since he wasnāt the one that ordered the tests for it. And my regular doc thinks Iām āfine.ā
If you call having the levels that a 90 yr old might have normal then thats another story:eek:
I really thought I was on the road to getting better but it feels like Iām starting all over.
Weāll see! Keep digging.
Our xmas Vaca was good. Of course getting there and back SUCked but it was what was in between that counted.
AZ is beautiful! And the weather was very boring. lolā¦Sunny the whole time and in the 60s. I spent some years living in Vegas as a kid and I donāt remember seeing any cactusās as I did in AZā¦weird.
Unfortunately my computer ate all the pictures that were on the memory card when I got home. Only me, I swear. I have no proof that we even went anywhere!!
Iām happy to be home though and happy to be closer to LIVING again!! Itās character building.

ohhhh I felt the energy Iāve been missing all these years about 20 minutes after taking my first pill this morning!!! jumps up and down
The T3 in it(the ENERGY!!) only lasts 4-6 hours though. I took mine at about 10am and I can feel it wearing off now. I think my best dose would be 2 grains.
But I got STUFF DONE today! whew buddy!! lol
Cause in about two to four weeks, the body is going to get āused toā that much and Iāll probably need at least another 1/2 grain or MORE in the afternoon.
This is going to be goooood if I can figure out how to get that extra grain.
Maybe I can not take ANY thyroid for like four DAYS before the testing next time, and āfake the doctor outā to giving me TWO grains a DAY!
Iād probably crawling into the lab though 
Or! Maybe I can actually be honest and email the doc about it wearing off 6 hours later and ask if I can add 1/2 in the afternoon. If he says no, Iāll probably tell him Iām going to do it anyway and see what he says 
hmph!
I took it at about 945am and I started to feel it wear off about about 330-4pm. Itās almost like taking a really good diet pill. And itās mood enhancing!!! I could feel like my old(but new!) self again!
ugggggh, Iām getting tired but I gotta make dinner.
I just noticed that I barely ate anything today and I wasnāt hungryā¦probably do me good from all the crap Iāve been eating but still.

When I was measured in the office on Thursday I was 5ā8" again!!!
Height can be funny. Most people shrink about half an inch over the course of the day due to compression of the spinal discs whilst being upright. Having said that, mine varies from 5ā6.9 to 5ā7.2 on the same scale (itās one that measures weight, height, BMI and fat) at the gym and I think a lot depends on whether Iāve done overhead pressing or headstands!

Some of you who are my FB pals might have seen that we got a new ābaby,ā yesterday!!!
A 10 week old husky/shephard mix. Sweetest pup EVER!!!
Kind of spur of the moment but when we saw him we just āknew.ā Weāve been on the hunt for a ānew addition,ā for awhile and now seemed to be a good time with not much going on.
So far he is fitting right in. Accept our prissy hissy kitty cat isnāt digging him as much. If she doesnāt get over it she may have to back to the barn.
Same thing happened when we took in that other pooch awhile back.

And i think its good that you take careful notes (through this log!) of how you feel during the day - maybe start seeing some trends re: the new meds, foods, etc. etc. and that can better inform the doctor of how to move forward.
