Ugh-O.
I solly dolly :frowning:

sokay.

(huggles)

kinda out there, but been doin some thinking lately, aaaaand…takes deep breath oh, it hurts me to even say this out loud.

I think maybe I should take a bit of time off from lifting as much as I am in my current state of unhealthy-ness.

I’m trying to HEAL my body and I think lifting somehow is working against that??..I’m not sure.
I’m already going into the gym with - energy…using whatever it is to get me through…and then what is there left to recover/rebuild?? :idk:

I can’t realistically just give up the gym entirely. But switching to a 1-2x/week U/L or full body routine might be good to at least maintain muscle.

And maybe I’ll learn how to meditate. Do yoga and pilates. Go on long walks, etc…

Am I nuts???

And it would be kinda nice to step back and when I’m ready to reap the rewards and get the results that you are actually supposed to get from lifting.

It would give me more time to rest, like literally. And heal.

listen to your inner voice Mims. No one knows better.

Got my mirror at Home Depot for pretty cheap too.

Thanks…
And there is this:

Plus on my ā€˜off days,’ I could practice push ups/pull ups!

I’m not totally backing down…just easing off the throttle.

I think that might be a good idea. Nothing wrong with taking some time off. Personally I need to squeeze in some meditation time myself, I’ve been feeling off balance of late. It might do you wonders, get you thinking about how to heal your body in different ways.

Happy belated Vets day too.

Beauteous pictures, love them. I think your legs look great, and I studied pic for

a good amount of time, hehe

I think you need to listen to what your body is telling you. This is a really hard decision
if you fight it.

I hate to bring it up, but some time back you mentioned having some issues with mold. Did that get resolved?
I would think that could effect your health? Sorry if I missed this.

You are a fighter, good luck with this!

HUGZ

Every time you post a pic of yourself I’m reminded what an incredible beauty you are.

You’ll be interested to note that I started clean eating today. We shall see.

Mimsy… you are correct.

Lifting heavy with bad thyroid hormone levels… lets say that
ā€œpoor recoveryā€ is an understatement.

I have even decided I need to push my follow up labs for sooner than my next appointment based on how badly 5 3 1 has wiped me out. And my FT3 is AT LEAST halfway up range right now. I can tell I need an increase. I can only imagine how you’ve been pushing yourself. SRS.

I hate to back down on anything, always want to be seen as ā€˜strong.’ But I’ve pushed it pretty hard for pretty long without any results to show for accept that I’m pretty dang TIRED! And it’s been a long year in general. A long 3 years actually.

Thanks for the huggles and support! I <3 you all.

Oh and K! I don’t know how you’ve been eating before, but good luck!! It can be exciting/hard all at the same time…you can do it though!!

Don’t think of what you’re doing as quitting because youre NOT you’re not even backing down! You’ll just shift focus for awhile. Knowing you you’ll just get hella bomb ass good at something new like yoga or meditation. One more trick for your superhero arsenal.

One of mah favorite LOLCats I doan care how many times I repost it I luff it.

<3

no shame in taking time off! NONE!!! Its beneficial!

Even without your thyroid issues–which make a huge impact-- time off is good for you! months, weeks, days, whatever. I’m sorry you feel so exhausted and unrecoverable within a reasonable amount of time…but you got my vote for always being an incredibly strong and determined women in many ways!

just keep logging!! and pictures!!

dropping in MIM, yes do what you think is right for you.

Agreed with what everyone else has said. You gotta do what feels right for you!

Plus, training is all cyclical! Sometimes you do heavy weight, sometimes high reps, sometimes you back off the weights completely and focus on something else…The body needs to heal, to rest, to grow…listen to your intuition.

And no, you’re NOT going anywhere! I forbid it!!

Of course I’m not going anywhere!!!

oh. And today is my Thyroid appointment. I DO.NOT. want to go.

It’s hard to be optimistic. Especially because I think an agreement has been signed somewhere stating that all military people will get second rate thyroid care.

I think taking some time off to sort other life issues is a good idea.

Adorable ā€˜how we met’ story.

Good luck with the appt.
