This sounds great. Does it only work with fresh egg whites or will liquid egg whites work too?

The man makes a valid argument.

Training:
legs/butt

I’m already sore!

dynamic crap

cable glute things- 3x12
hypers- 2x12

Leg press thing- 2x15- just testing the waters here

Trap Bar- 2x8
-supersetted with-
GMs- 4x10x65
During the second set of trap, knee was hurting
sooo I did goblet squats instead…just to the bench- 2x10

Glute bridge(shoulders on bench)
3x10x40xowwww mommy!!

Messed around with squats in the Smith machine, don’t judge. Didn’t hurt, but too weird.

Some BW leg stuff- Fire hydrants- 2x20
side lying abductor lift thing- 2x20
*these hurt more than the GG/BG machine! sheesh

Extra wide SUMO KB squat(or DL?) I dunno, but it didn’t hurt and it got my quads/glutes pretty good
3x10x50lb’er

Back ext macheen- 3x10x80

I think thats it.
I rode the bike on level 13-15 for 5 min to hit the quads more. Will keep up with this and add minutes.

You have kids, right? How are you staying away from the Halloween candy? My kids got more chocolate than they’d ever need. It taunts me everytime I walk by.

I’d love to toss it or give it away but I am afraid I’d be in BIG trouble if they realized I threw away their precious ziploc gallon bags of candy. I have will power but I prefer to not have ANYTHING like that in the house. I suggested that whole trading it out thing but they were quite adamant against that. Downright hateful that I suggested it at all, I recall.

I hate to bust my ass in the gym and then come home and know that with just a few pieces it would all be for not.

Got any advice?

yep, I have two kidlets.

It helps that they didn’t really get a lot of candy this year and I’m not tempted because I’m not really a candy person. We go through it all and toss out the candy that they don’t eat. They keep there favorites and I allow a couple pieces a day for a week then my hubby takes the rest to work.

What are your goals? Maybe if you allow 1-2 pieces a day you won’t feel like your missing out and will be less likely to go full on candy monster.

It’s always tricky though - for some people, one piece of candy can start an avalanche. I’m like that with certain foods - I have to not buy it at all, or only in very small quantities, because otherwise I will scoff the lot.

Aaanyway, I loooove garlic, so sorry to hear about your mishap! Probably best to chop it next time.

Total avalanche. If I eat ice cream I’m eating full on ice cream not any fat free crap. Same with candy, cookies etc. I don’t want A piece. I want TEN pieces. All or nothing with me. So I usually avoid it entirely.

MIM I wish I was like you and didn’t want it much in the first place! It would be a lot easier. We’re leaving for vaction next week so maybe I’ll just pitch the stuff that tempts me and tell them that it went bad. LOL! I’m the mama so I have to do what works for the fam, right?? LOL!

yes, your are EXACTLY RIGHT!!!
Only time of year my kids get candy really, lol.

If it’s in the house they eat it. One time it lasted til Christmas, lol.

I kind of center our eating around that way of thinking. No junk food. No chips cookies poptarts, etc.
My poor kids are probably deprived compared to most of there friends I think.
Every time we go to the store my daughter asks ‘Mommy, can you buy us some junk cereal this time?’

LMAO!!!

But I realized when I was changing my eating habits and making all this yummy nutritious food for MYSELF, the kids were lacking. And they were still young enough to not put up a fight.

Granted I buy the occasional goldfish, pretzel or graham cracker. But mostly if we want junk, we MAKE it. Or sometimes I’ll buy ‘healthy,’ organic junk food, lol.

SUPER tough when they start school because they want whatever blue, cornsyrup creation their friend brought. I think you and I are on the same page with their food. We HAVE to make these decisions for them and then by default it keeps us on track too.

As long as the liquid ones will whip up stiff you’re all good. I always use fresh just a personal preference and a real hassle lol

Catnip - with you on the ice cream. I once bought Ben & Jerry’s froyo by mistake and was NOT impressed. Texture was all wrong. If I eat ice cream, I go for luxe brands - HD, B&J, Waitrose (posh supermarket) own brand. We have a fantastic (and fantastically expensive) company called Simply Ice Cream (see: http://www.simplyicecream.co.uk/ ) which is basically frozen cream with stuff in. It’s a quadruple heart bypass in a carton. And it rocks.

Regarding cereals, I used to have a real binge problem with them so I don’t buy them. I had a particular weakness for granola. But some of the cereals available now horrify me. I couldn’t believe Lucky Charms the first time I saw them at a breakfast buffet in America - nevermind taste the rainbow, you’d be shitting the rainbow after that lot. No wonder kids are all ADD from food additives.

We have a fairly new cereal here called Krave which is basically sugar and chocolate. It’s Kellogs so I guess you have it Stateside too. How the fuck do they get away marketing this garbage as something to start the day on?

Exactly my thinking (although I don’t always do that). But homemade decadent brownies always taste better than any store bought crap with god knows what in it. And I’m sure prepping and baking burn some calories, oh and the cleaning up of course.

Legs are deliciously dom-sy…even my precious quads, so yay.

Not only is it Veterans Day I think it’s national flirt with Betty day in the gym. It was an odd feeling. I’m not even ovulating! hehe Maybe it’s the yoga pants.
So if you go to the gym today, make sure to oogle your local Betty. Thanks!

Stay strong. My parents kept the kitchen stocked with full sugar soda, chips and cookies a lot of my childhood… it was really hard reversing those habits.

Looks like your training is going excellent. Keep it up!
