Diet Coke and Coke Zero

diet coke is the sugar free version of new coke, a now discontinued product

they also do not use the exact same artificial sweeteners but i dont think there is a strong opinion that one is better or worse

as for health benefits i wouldnt worry about it, some say it may be bad but i dont think anyone can argue that it is more important to drink water instead of diet soda than it is to eat fruits and vegetables and have a good overall diet. most people including myself should worry about keeping other parts of their diet in check before crusading against artificial sweeteners which may possibly have a small detrimental effect
Coke Zero= made with aspartame and acesulfame potassium
Diet Coke=made with aspartame and in some places splenda now

The Coke Zero supposedly has less aspartamine in it.

In what way?

I’ve actually noticed I’m more bloated when drinking diet sodas instead of just water, all other factors constant.

You get bloated with carbonated drinks cause, surprise surprise, you’re drinking GAS. So, obviously, no soda (of any kind) pre-comp. But there’s no harm in the occasional diet soda. I’m not an organic eater, either, I just don’t care about what chemicals end up in my body. I’m STILL eating better than 90% of the population.

This thread has been full of great laughs, though. Man, some people are just tools…

Oh, and Diet Dr. Pepper=win. Diet Coke comes next. I’ve only had Canadian Coke Zero, and I don’t like it, but then again… I also don’t like Canadian Coca-Cola (I’m from the US). I’ve never seen an American Coke Zero, so no clue there.

My body deserves better fuel than whatever shit is put into sodas, diet or not.

I love when people say shit like this and then eat meat, eggs & milk off a grocery store shelf.

Unless people are eating free range/organic meats (which doesn’t always mean what you think it means) you’re ingesting shit just the same. And I would speculate it’s worse than salt, caffeine and color number 47.

I’m not trying to pick on you hockechamp14 specifically, just when people say that it makes me laugh.
Most of that shit cooks off. At least meats and eggs have a redeeming protein value. I didn’t tell you not to drink soda. Go enjoy it. I don’t enjoy it, and I know I’m not missing out on anything. It’s easy to avoid so I do. If you need to justify drinking soda that way go ahead. I chose to remove it from my nutrition plan because it is plain crap.

I didn’t mean physiologically, like in my gut health or something. I just meant I really don’t like it. The burping and bullshit makes me uncomfortable. It feels shitty in my mouth, and in my throat. Just the gas is bothersome.

I’m a male. But make my own brew. I just scratch my ass and dip my fingers in the mixture. There you go, shit loads of micro organisms. Not quite sure about the taste tough

Anything that clearly is a concoction of artificial flavour, sweeteners and colours gets my thumbs down straight away! But hey each to his own!

Chilled water, lemon juice and ginger mmm (I can just hear it now, fuckin hippie LOL

lol…

What I’m talking about doesn’t “cook off” dude… lol

Again, I eat meat and drink a pop when I want. No you don’t have to, and no I don’t “justify” shit to myself. I enjoy it, so I do it. You don’t, so you don’t. It is simple.

I was merely pointing out how it’s funny that people, including yourself, get all self righteous about soda, when they really have no clue what they are putting in their bodies.

I quite like the bloat you get from Coke zero, keeps me fulling full when on less calories.

Water water water water wattteeerrrrrrrrrr other than that I like normal coke, although i haven’t had pop in years.

i used to get stiff achy joints, knees & hips from drinking diet sodas and crystal light, then I read something that Slenda is better. So I switched and this prob went away immediately. Can sodas and drinks with Splenda are harder to find tho. look for DietRite, 4C brand ice teas, lemonade, Coke with Slenda

i just drank another coke zero

oh noes!
