DHEA Question. Effects Related to Neurotype?

A while back I got 50 mg DHEA and took 2x per day. (I have since seen that you advise against those doses if at all). I felt great and got great workouts for a week, but by the end of 1 week I was totally burned out like if I had been taking caffeine tablets all day long-adrenaline desensitized or something similar. Is that a typical response for all neurotypes? Also Is the burnout due most likely to a direct effect of DHEA, or is it more likely because I was able to overwork at a time when I should have been doing less? In other words, would DHEA be ok as long as I don’t push the training up because I feel good on it?

I guess my real question is why can DHEA, especially bolus doses, result in burnout. What’s the mechanism?

Also on a similar line, cortisol raises adrenaline levels. What about the revers. Do adrenergics raise cortisol too (I seem to remember a positive feedback where ephedra and caffeine both directly stimulate the cns but also stimulate the adrenals to release more adrenaline).

My theory is the negative feedback loop.

DHEA is an hormone. And it is eventually converted to testosterone and estrogen (among others). It is possible that supplementing it could stop DHEA production and thus decrease testosterone production.
