That 495x5 beltless is probably the most impressive lift I have ever seen you do considering where your weight is right now. Just awesome. You really should go all Paul Carter and act like using a belt isn’t raw lifting.

My adductors were still mega sore from Friday’s Squatting and wasn’t able to Deadlift. I benched instead .

Not been lurking here recently due to major family issues, but just came back and noticed you did DB bench with your feet up. Was that due to your sore adductors or another reason? I’m currently having to bench like that as I have a hernia and am waiting on a repair…feels strange to start with, not having any leg power or support.

Checked out Cambridge Strength and Conditioning to try out potential new gyms. Felt nice to be with people my age and have great chemistry with. I do plan on Deadlifting and possibly OHP there. We’ll see.

I just like to make my upper body work a little harder and hit the pressing muscles that way rather than leg drive the weight up. It’s assistance, there’s no point to using leg drive if I’m suppose to be building the muscles.

So my legs & glutes will wither away due to the hernia, but I might end up with a bigger chest lol …trying to look for the positives ![]()

I’m in Austin, Texas to handle my training partner at USAPL Men’s Equipped Nationals. Austin is a beautiful city and I like the cool Hipster culture here. The Texas BBQ is amazing and the Mexican is so delicious. Got some solid training in as well. I went
to the Hyde Park Gym, which is a solid Olympic Lifting and Powerlifting gym. No monolift so I had to walk my weights (no big deal though) and wore my Oly shoes instead of my usual Chuck’s. The people here are super friendly and would definitely recommend anyone to check this city out.
Welcome to Texas! Just don’t get into any trouble or my cousin might get you! Hes a patrol cop in Austin. Also, you should ask your friend about Elgin sausage. You can thank me later.
