Dem beltless squats…
Is it normal to get achy knees on programs like Sheiko? I’ve never had joint problems with training before. As you’re accustomed to high volume, I thought you might have something to say about protecting joints.

It is, but I still recommend getting a pair of neoprene or rehband knee sleeves. A dynamic warm up a la the agile 8 is highly recommended. Rolling your IT bands and piriformis as well is imperative because most of the time, knee pain is cause by those two being tight.

Thank you. I did the Agile 8 and rolling today. What knee sleeves do you recommend?

You can grab Rehband gear that he mentioned from the jackal’s gym website. Most everyone agrees they are great quality and they are widely used by high level strength athletes. It’s hilarious how prevalent they are in strongman once you start noticing them. Strongman athletes are basically walking Rehband advertisements lol. Tommy Kono are also very popular.

Titan Neoprene Knee Sleeves
They’re cheaper than the Rehband’s and they’re basically the same sleeve for less money.
I’m not too keen on the TK sleeves because they’re relatively fragile and rip pretty easily after a few uses.

My training partner has both and he said the exact same thing. He wished the TK’s were made as well as the Rehband durability wise.

Thanks, csulli and Carlos.
Options are limited in the UK for purchasing. Titans are pretty much the same price as Rehbands, unfortunately. If prices are equivalent, are the Rehbands a better choice?

I learned a new word today. My English teaching mom would be proud!
