Despade: Tales of a Lifetime Intermediate

I need to do somethin’ like this for sure, I thought the tablespoon of peanut butter and honey would do me right, but it wasn’t much help. Really came down to the poor planning on my end.

Used it for months, loved it, just a bit spendy at the moment for me. When I get little influxes of cash I typically snag a bag or two. Also love the brain candy.

Tricep Extension

Skull Crusher Strip Set
2 x 10/10/10 x 55/45/35

Meh, thought I had 8 on the top set, slowed down considerably after 7, spotter helped on 8. Felt good though. Jumped the BBB sets up an extra 10lbs, glad I did it, but man it got into the tank, usually can superset those with another exercise, but I think I’ve found the right weight for this block.

TMs are a bit high, I think, across the board…but am going to buckle down and handle my shit, it’s all do able, I just know it’s gonna feel heavy. Getting into weights (along with a slight caloric deficit) that are going to require actual rest and recovery days…like, planned ones and shit.

Weight: Really liking the feel at 196-199, still feel like I’m getting stronger, body comp seems to be improving a bit, week to week.

Late Lift, slept in today (til 4am, whoohoo!) brought some food so hopefully I can make it a better afternoon lift than the last one, am absolutely wiped out, so we will see how it goes, food and caffeine should cure what ails me.

Will be Squats
5 x 135
5 x 185
5 x 225
3 x 255
3 x 295
5+ x 325 (8 total)
BBB
5 x 10 x 195

Superset:
Ab Wheel
2 x 12
RDL w/ DBs
2 x 12 x 55s

Weighted Vest Walk
Incline 12 x 3.6mph x +25 x 5 minutes

A surprisingly good lift, lifted in my stocking feet like the good ol’ days, and boy does that feel better than the squat shoes (blaspheme much?) and 325 was rock solid, hand started cramping up on reps 7 and 8, so I ended up sliding my left hand way out towards the collars and it threw me a bit, genuinely think I had one more in me. Pretty happy with today’s lift. The 5 x 10 sets were fairly “easy” as well, maybe it’ll be a good squatting block after all.

Now on to some good Valhalla blend coffee, a protein shake, and only 4 more hours left in my day, ha.

Weight: Right were I expected it, 200.2 post workout, post food, post water.

A good day to have a good day, was kinda expecting/wanting 8, but it wasn’t there, couldn’t quite lock it out, stalled out right above my head (triceps didn’t want none on that lock out). BBB sets were definitely a struggle today, 10lbs made all the difference, but it got done, good stuff.

Weight: Way better than expected at 201, had a very hearty weekend of eating with family, made good choices and stayed away from the beer and liquor, but I full expected to be up around 204, so that’s awesome, a bit soft/bloated (as expected) so I figure that’ll fade out by tomorrow morning now that I’ll be back to a normal eating schedule.

Supposed to be deadlifts, but honestly, just didn’t want to pull this week, think I’m going to pull from the floor every other week, with the reasoning that I will be fresher for squats most weeks (makes sense right now, may not in an hour.)

Weight: Good, didn’t eat much yesterday, just wasn’t really hungry, made myself eat my last meal/dinner (which was only the 2nd meal of the day) this doesn’t typically happen, ha.

Uploaded for maximum gains…and accountability…feel like I’ve made strides (big ones) since February(?)/last picture post. Am pretty happy with where I’m sitting, apparently found the worst light…should’ve used a filter to elicit maximum musculature haha
Edit: I have not been skipping legs haha mirror was just a bit high to see what I was doing.

Looking great man. Lifts are nothing bad. Keep grinding

I think this is the first time I’ve caught your pictures. I must say, I thought you’d have long, flowing, goldilocks hair like your avatar! But you come in sporting the @MarkKO look instead lol!

And that’s not a negative comment; I’m considering going back to the buzz cut as well. I’m pretty sure I’m a haircut, tattoo, and tan away from looking like The Rock. :joy:
