SSB and DL are a hell of a pairing. I prefer DL first though ![]()
May try that combo next deadlift day, putting the DL first then killing myself with the SSB.

A pretty good day, lower back is still trashed so I went with front squats, which turned out alright. I planned on just accumulating some volume, but I hate doing anything more than 5s on fronts…so…yeah! Why not try for a PR haha I think I would’ve had 315, but I sunk really deep into the hole and couldn’t fight out of it, so went for 305, it was a grind, but I got that sonofabitch. The rest of the workout was just pretty low intensity, got a little pump, nothing major. Pretty good one though.
Historically I have had good results with this. Try DL, then a 350 set of squats on the SSB.

Pretty good day, could’ve had more on the seated Press with a spotter, but loading on your own is tough. Could’ve been counted as 3 x 3 probably… but I don’t like counting the load rep due to momentum. Good pump. 2-3 days under 200. This weigh in was post breakfast and water #fistpump

Pretty frickin’ pumped about today, as usual I had no plan on hitting anything in particular, knew I wanted to be up around 365-385 for my top sets, wrist permitting. But as soon as I hit 365 I knew that I was getting 405 today. Went for 385, moved smooth, and 405 actually felt really manageable on my back…another fabulous day in my world.
Edit: Added RPE
Game on MF… I’m now officially hunting down that 405 squat. I’ve been eying it but I don’t know if I’ll have a chance to put it on the bar during training the next few weeks, so you’re safe for now ![]()
OH , and…
Love your enthusiasm in the video too!
Ha! That took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about, I didn’t realize that I yelled haha seems a bit silly now ![]()
naw man, that’s good stuff… I did the same when I threw down my last Rep PR (grunted and stared down the camera)
Congrats @Despade! That’s a nice milestone to hit.
These celebrations seem mundane, I’ve given the bar, the weight and myself in the mirror the middle finger on multiple occasions.
nice job
That looked good. Nice work.
Awesome pr man! And don’t worry about the yelling being silly. I once watched a bunch of ronnie coleman Motivation videos and for weeks on end would yell “Lightweight” "Aint nothin but a peanut " whilst deadlifting. It got me some weird looks for sure.
I’m still saying it
@littlesleeper Yeah, man, it felt good! I’m finally catching your bench with my squat haha
@kckfl349 Much appreciated!
@MarkKO it felt better than expected if I’m being honest
@duketheslaya Who’s Ronnie Coleman? Was he a power lifter?
@guineapig probably carries the same force to, eh?
Sarcasm?
Haha yeah, sorry, I couldn’t resist ![]()
Yeeeah buddy
Weight has got bigger since but it’s always Light weight baby
