For fucks sake read what has already been written. I AM AUSTRALIAN. I WAS TALKING ABOUT AUSTRALIA. SPECIFICALLY SYDNEY.
Furthermore, I made it a pretty obvious statement that I FUCKING HATE COLORADO and am moving back to NY in less than week. The 3 years I have spent here in Denver have been fucking awful. I can’t even pretend to sugar coat it or make excuses. COLORADO IS THE BUTTHOLE OF AMERICA’S KNEECAP AND I HATE HATE HATE IT.
New York is the tits though, I fucking love NY and can’t wait to be back.
You mentioned that you think veiled racism is pertinent in America and considering you’re living/lived in Colorado, I assumed that’s where most of your experiences with `American prejudice’ have been.
Oh, right. Well, prior to CO I lived in western/upstate NY for 4.5 years (Buffalo) which is a primarily black region, I dunno stats, I’m sure there are still more white people than black people but it doesn’t really seem that way unless you go to the mall lol. Denver on the other hand is primarily white and the major “minority” is Mexican who catch a TON of shit out here for all the typical bullshit (taking “our” jobs and whatever other horse shit people like to say), but you actually don’t see many black people. Interestingly enough I meet a lot of Australians here though, probably due to the skiing. The city of Buffalo is pretty run down and impoverished but the people are awesome. So, the only problem there was people hating on Canadians since Buffalo is like 10 mins from the border and it’s a big hockey town, so the rivalry between the Sabres and Maple Queefs made for a lot of entertainment (fwiw I love Canadians. I used to go up to Toronto all the fucking time. That’s a dope city with good people… But I hate the Leafs almost as much as the Sens). On Monday I’m moving back to NY (Syracuse area) so we’ll see how that goes. I’ve spent a lot of time there (wife is from the area) and it seems very similar to Buffalo in a lot of ways).
