DAMN! Another great from the past!
Didn’t he once beat Arnold (or damn close to it)?
Always thought he had a very respectable physique… makes us realize that time marches on, and so many of the ‘greats’ are aging.
S
I’ve just read that he died of stomach cancer! And this just after Ronnie James Dio dying from the same thing.

He was second to Arnold in the '67 Universe.
Also came in second to Menzter in the '79 Mr. O (heavyweight division).
Great build, and a role model for relatively-taller guys at 6’0".
Another pic I’ve always liked. We Italians tan well.
Good work, Dennis.
RIP.
64? That’s young. What a shame.
I do remember seeing pics of him in many of the bodybuilding books I read back in the 80s, like Arnold’s Encyclopedia and others. In these early photos, I can see why he gave Arnold a serious run for his money.
RIP
sad, led a very different post bb life as a christian minister. 64 is a young age to go these days but its a reminder that lots of the golden era bbers are getting on in age now.
