Just look at the democrats campaign. THey have nothing to run on. Can you imagine what it would have been like if a liberal had been in office with the 9/11 tragedy! For the 8 years prior to it happening, they had basically been payed off and pushed under the rug. How many US embassy bombing, the world trade center once before, the USS Cole! What was done nothing. As far as the economy goes, I think Bush has done a great job in the fact that no other President in history has had to deal with as many things in such a fast pace after being elected. The Clintom Era founded a false economy of paper which started falling apart in April of his last term! And he did nothing. For some reason people think the Enrons and Worldcoms were somehow Bush’s fault as well. THese are obviously people that have a hard time making desicions for themselves. Notice how Social Security isn’t a topic this time around. I challenge you to research that because of good leaders of the country do not even pay into it. They have their own plan which is getting paid their full salary for the rest of their life! Nice retirement plan. And as far as Kerry taxing the wealthy. Notice he repeatedly says for those over $200,000 will be taxed heavier. Well I believe the Senators and Congressmen make just under that so guess who will be excluded from this"heavy taxed" group. Thank you
drago1, let’s try to avoid an all-out war in North Korea while China, Japan and S. Korea are still at the table, OK?
“Just look at the democrats campaign. THey have nothing to run on. Can you imagine what it would have been like if a liberal had been in office with the 9/11 tragedy!”
–>I disagree with this whole-heartedly. The democrats have a lot to run on, particularly on domestic issues where Bush has come up short. There are also a ton of people still unconvinced that the Iraq war - and all of its expenses - is a worth while cause. Bush is very vulnerable, and it doesn’t help that once the debates start, someone as stiff as Kerry will still tear Bush a new one…
And, regarding 9/11, who’s to say how a democrat would have reacted? Such accusations are useless, baseless, and unreasonable.
Pertaining to Enron, et.al - Bush is lumped in with them because, well, he is lumped in with them! Ken Lay was the single biggest contributor to his campaign, Enron was a huge contributor, Lay ate at the WH the day after the innaugeration…he’s “in bed” with these guys. Enron. Oil. Texas. GWB. They’re buds.
RSU,
What are these domestic issues?
Democrats seem to like to misuse statistics to make it seem like something is true that isn’t.
The economy is roaring and jobs are increasing very fast.
MRBP-
Why is it that everything a democrat says is misusing statistics, but everything a Republican say’s is from on High delivered from the Gospel itself! Are you really that naive?
The economy is roaring! Are you
smoking crack?
The economy IS roaring…what are you talking about?
MRBP…do you really need me to answer your question?
RSU,
Please do.
Whereas most Republicans excuse Bush’s failure with domestic issues because of attention paid to foreign ones, you choose to ignore that he has come up short at all.
What good will a list of issues do for you/this thread? What’s the point?
What good will a list of issues do for you/this thread? What’s the point?
The point is to see what you think Bush is failing at.
Once you have a written list, people can address each point if needed, or correct you if you are wrong.
“Once you have a written list, people can address each point if needed, or correct you if you are wrong.”
…what are the odds of THIS happening?
No offense, but I feel like this is (and probably has been for a while now) a pissing contest, and I concede - you piss farther than I.
I’m growing indifferent toward these Off Topic discussions.
