My favourite top of all time was an old Philadelphia eagles grey training top, it had holes across the yoke from squatting, and one or two chalk/bloodstains from callus tears. Eventually the hole on the yoke was giant and I got told I couldn’t wear it. I loved that top. Better than any fancy gym wear. Damn now I’m feeling nostalgic

It’s usually my bottoms that have hole because of deadlifts and such were I scrape the bar against meself

How high are you pulling the bar for deadlifts, get some short shorts mate

Sure, they have. I have 3 shorts that I rotate lol. But you can imagine how I’ve stopped wearing joggings/tights a loooong time ago, even some tiny 80kgs cleans the other day scraped my shins and pulled some blood, let’s not talk about the deadlifts…
That’s a mighty strong front squat. Any video of that? Do you feel that all the tempo work you did in the past is why you’re so strong relative to your weight? To me you are strong in the absolute sense as well but we have some monster lifters lurking about
Well thank you but I don’t think I’m strong yet. When I’ll reach a 4 plates squat then yeah I’ll be happy. I still have time. Looked at Zack Telander progression over a decade for instance, and it was very inspirational.
Honestly in terms of building strength I’m not sure they are more efficient than regular tempo. But I think there is a reason it is often used with athletes. A must for injury prevention, helps with keeping a good form/bracing. But also, something I’ve noticed (maybe it’s unrelated to this, but I think it is) is that a few years ago, before I did this, I could not grind out a rep. Either it was fast, or I failed it. I’m able now to keep a strong position, and push sometimes for I don’t know, a 3 secs hellish concentric press ahah. And honestly if you can do sets lasting 90 secs, then regular sets are easy as fuck and going to failure feels so much easier
I’ll film myself next week. I asked my friend to spot me for this lift, like i said I wasn’t feeling really good after the 110 and I always lift a bit better when spotted
I think I have at least 15 different pairs of shorts and probably 30 different shirts for gym clothes. I am no mathematician, but that is roughly 4.8 trillion combinations.
And that is before we bring shoes into the equation.

I’m with @simo74 though, if it covers my junk, I’m pretty much set. I’ve accepted I’m not going to look good in the gym anyway.

Conjugate Bodybuilding - Day 20 - 20/08
So, easy session. I was a bit pissed and in a rush so I barely warmed-up and did 60, 80, 90 cleans. I started with these because the racks were taken.
So when I was doing Crossfit I could only do 1 very ugly rep with 90 kgs and there it was crisp, so yeah, I’ll take these. Didn’t tried more reps because I wasn’t sure technique would be as good or I would have to dip too low and I’m a lazy ass. But I feel i could do a 100 kgs high dip power clean on a good day and I’m very stoked about that.
Squats felt a bit hard, but I’m still figuring out my technique (stance, ratio of hip/knee flexion etc) on low bar, and the later sets felt much better and faster.
Kept low weight on the leg curls. My left leg is still weaker, especially at max leg curl ROM (flexing completely), and there I’ll just be using volume to strengthen it. So I’m convinced I’ll sub in the dreaded BSS instead of DBs clean next monday

Well you need to knock that mindset right out the door now. I’ve decided I look darn good in a tank top now that I don’t have abs. Dress to your strengths.
