Thank you baby.
I manage to lift those weights up because it’s the only thing I know how to do right, that love for the thing is what allows me to keep pushing myself.

Good to hear man. I haven’t had the time to keep up reading Warrior Athlete, but I’m pretty sure is more than awesome by now. 5100Block seems to be getting pretty sucessfull, congratulations man.

Good to hear from you brother, I’m looking forward to reading your next log.

So, today I went to scout for a new gym. The one I planned on joining isn’t that great, and Gold’s ain’t due to open for maybe another six months. First gym I went was more than a social club than a gym. It had saunas, a restaurant, clothing store and the whole shit, but their gym sucked. The second gym, which also sucked, was even more socialite than the first one, I knew I had to gtfo of there when I saw that by the entrance, they had put a bunch of designer shoes for display.

Third gym, under a shopping mall, actually turned out to be the best one. DB’s up to 50 kilos and beyond. Olympic Bars, one power rack, a bunch of diffenrent HS Machines, I wasn’t sure if I saw a leg press or squat hack in there but that’s ok since there’s a Power Squat machine. Quite expensive, but I’m gonna go with this one. From the looks of it, this gym never seems to be full, except for the cardio folk, although I supposed to expect the usual bros and douches, since it’s right under a shopping mall.

It will be a while before I join up, a few weeks or so, and my gym is closing next week, meaning I’ll have to take a forced break for some time.

blush Aww shucks

Geez, I’m glad you found a gym, the first two gyms didn’t keep my hopes hope.
Glad you found one, and you can use the deload.

Yeah, I could probably use the time off and plan my training ahead. I can finally do the stuff I always wanted to do, because now I’m not limited by equipment. But it isn’t 100% certain I’ll get to join this gym, I still need to figure out some stuff.

January 06, 2011: Shoulders, Arms

  • Seated MP

  • Lateral Raise Partials

65x30/45x15 x2 sets

  • Bent Over DB raise/swing

65x35/45x30/25x15 1 set

Then Curled for arms, pressed and diped a lot for triceps. Not gonna post everything 'cause I did fell like I did any amazing progress with my arm strength. Forearm and grip are improving a lot, but that’s another story.

Squated today for the first time in weeks, happy with the results.
Oh yeah, my gym’s bar weights around 20 kg (45 lbs), I never counted it before but I’m doing it now, if the numbers look oddly high that’s the reason.

January 07, 2011: Quads, Extra Hamstring work

2 sets of 15

  • Back Squats ( semi-wide )

400x5
425x5

  • Leg Press Calf Raise

Your squats are awesome, especially after the squat lay-off. Amazing =D

Did you count the bar weight in the MP?

No, I just found out how much the bars weights today.
wait…

Holy shit, I can Military Press more than my bodyweight!

EDIT: I’m so fucking happy right now, I hadn’t thought about it. Fuck, I gotta film this.

Yes, yes film yourself doing presses ;D

I can… I can press the weight of my lower body beams

Ha, there will be plenty of videos of my training from now own.
Nobody to bitch about my camera, nobody to walk in in front of it.

Thanks for pointing it out for me baby, I probably wouldn’t had noticed the new MP numbers if it wasn’t for your post. This made my day!

Sup dude good work man. Are you really 18 dude? Looking big. Got any tips for a 6’3 dude to build those cannon ball delts?

Thank you brother.

Yes man, I am 18. I think the only good tips I can give on shoulder training are:

  • Do a lot Overhead Pressing, to build general shoulder mass and strength t
  • Train your rear delts more than once a week. Rear Delts give you that round, broad-shoulder look. Don’t be afraid to blast your rear delt, they recover pretty fast.
  • Use high-volume and high-rep work for the lateral head.
  • Shrug.

I’m currently trying out some stuff writen by John Meadows, and I believe since I’ve started to apply some of his principles to my training I’ve made good progress with my shoulder development. Try reading some of what he writes here on the site, I recommend it.

I’m glad you’re happy

I didn’t understand your shoulder advice, I think I need an actual session with you
