Decaf

i read recently that decaf coffee is terrible for you…could anyone explain this to me?

i personally dont drink coffee (im all about the grean tea), but my mom does and she doesnt have the best health. she is a 60yr old woman whos overweight, has a thyroid problem, and has poor circulation. she used to drink a ton of coffee but now she usually has decaf. she just recently had her knee replaced and im worried about the healing process and her overall health.

any advice/insight on the situation would be greatly appreciated…

thanks

ps. is the caffiene in organic green tea different from that of coffee somehow? and is decaf green tea bad as well? i would like to avoid pretty much all caffeine, but the benefits of green tea seem to be to worthwhile… what do you guys think?

Some of the decafination processes use some pretty heavy duty chemicals that are in no shape way or form good for you.

I’ve developed an alergic reaction to regular coffee[within 15 min, I will puke no matter what]. Because of this, I’ve sarted drinking a couple cups of decaf a week. If there are any negatives anyone knows about, I’d like o hear about 'em. Thanks.

Do the math… the caffeine has to be removed with an organic solvent… then the solvent has to be 100% washed off… trouble is it isn’t.

Put up or shut up - post some proof before you go around suggesting decaf coffee is full of organic solvent.

(CO2 extraction is becoming more common now.)

More common is not 100%, no one here has said anything wrong.

Get a life - tool.

Besides its stupid to drink decaf and don’t say you like the taste thats a pussy bullshit answer. Get a pair, douche.

Funny, I don’t recall ever mentioning I drank decaf anywhere.

You’ve also artfully managed to avoid actually answering the question while simultaneously suggesting that not intaking caffeine implies I’m less of a man?
