Death Metal

Definitely a Carcass fan. I remember seeing one of their CDs with all the cadavers on it when I was younger. Now that’s metal.

Not a big Bolt Thrower guy. Can’t really listen here at work, though. :frowning:

Obituary’s new album fucking rocks!!!

my life would be fucking lost had i never started listening to metal. i havent read through this whole thread, but i know pantera had to be mentioned somewhere! they are the band that got me into metal and will probably always be my all time favorite. top 5 metal bands would have to be

pantera
chimaira
devildriver
hatebreed
black label society

its really hard to narrow it down like that, but its a start. any of you heard much of Job for a Cowboy? i just started gettin into them

Obituary always brings it. One of the most consistent death metal acts of all time.

This will be my new crusining in my car cd for a very very long time, the riffs are just so CRUSHING haha, I was skeptical about this release since all the other retro-thrash bands didn’t deliver but this is truely a return to a real thrash album.

Listened to this band for a while. The vocalist has a crazy voice.

Bolt Thrower… Mercenary, For Victory etc were pretty good imo, but if you’re very much into tech then you might end up disappointed…

Gotta dig out a few of their albums again…

Wow. I just listened to 30 second snip-its on CDnow, it sounds pretty farkin’ good. #2 sounds really nice… I see a purchase in my near future.

Okay, some things I just found.

Gorod (Very interesting, musical):

There’s plenty of links from those two videos for other stuff.

Here’s a band called Anata:

And finally, a band called Man Must Die:

Another album is coming for man must die. It should be out soon

Thanks for putting bands on here because I am finding some new shit.

You just found these bands?

Gorod and Anata are like some of top acts in Death Metal in my opinion.

I have heard Gorod before, but never heard Anata before this thread. To be honest, I don’t like either… Don’t be mean…

Guess I just suck at life…

Well, to be fair, I’d heard of them, but never really gave them a listen. I was looking at Odious Mortem’s first CD today on Amazon and just start checking out random bands that were similar.

Also found earlier: Blotted Science… a good band.

i know they’re old, don’t laugh. but the song came on pandora and i liked it.

sodom - m-16

a guy at my gym gave me a gorod cd. it’s pretty interesting. seems like tech death. i haven’t really sat down and listened to it yet… i’m still riding out this black metal kick.
