Completed a 24 hour fast today. Ate my dinner and started another 24 hour fast. Think I’ll do this all week for two weeks. Weight loss is the goal. When I did deep waters it was a nice break from losing weight, time to kick it up again through 9/30

Woke up at 204, which (May be?) is a new low. Steadily on way to 195. Vacation next W-Su, but I’ll keep to diet. I won’t be able to fast, because skipping meals triggers our kids. They think I’m starving myself because no money/food. I’m debating fasting my way to keto, then doing that for the week. For no reason other than I over indulge on carbs when given the choice.

Will definitely hit some airdyne tonight for 100 or 200 cals, with dead hangs, with knees at 45 in between sets.

No workouts last few days. Went on vacation and ate waaaaay too much. Ha. No plan, just eat.

Still weighed less than I expected upon return, so that’s good.

Are you choosing this approach because it’s more simple than worrying about having small enough meals all day?

Yea… it’s simple, but more importantly, I have limited time. Less than I did before. It’s nice to say, for the next 18 hours, I won’t eat. Then, I will eat until I’m full before not eating for 18 hours. I like rolling 18 hours fasts, with a 24 or 30 thrown in there when 18 hours lands in the middle of the night. It’s easy to wake up hungry then go a few more hours.

For example:
Today - Meal noon (18 hours)
Tomorrow - 6am (most likely noon) (24 hours)
Wednesday - 10am (most likely due to work 5pm) (25 hours)

Days where I eat dinner, then can’t eat until dinner sucks

Still lifting, hardly logging. That 205 was a good current best. Probably had 2 more in me if I felt confident in not missing while trying to rack.

Yesterday, I ate one meal at lunch. Was supposed to be chicken and rice hibachi, but food trucks were closed. Company group went across parking lot for pizza. I had no self regulation and ate half of one of the two pizzas we split and 5 of the 12 garlic knots we ordered. Got home and weighed 219! Just water until this morning and weighed 207. Going to continue fast at least until 3pm.

Well, fuck. Checked the date I last posted in here and that coincides with some crazy changes in my life. I can’t talk about the details, but great way to end 2020 is have no idea where or what you’re doing with your life.

Been spending most of mu free time day trading. Made a good bit of money and better use of time than reading here. Ha.

Home gym has expanded. Now have a cambered mix grip bar, bands, low and high pulley and a few other things. Workouts have been mostly centered around horizontal push/pull, legs, vertical push/pull. Only real notable lifts are zercher squat. Hit 2x295 yesterday. Gearing up for a double at 315.

lmao! Haven’t seen someone say that in awhile.

2020 was going fantastic up until the end of September. I had 5x’d my money in the stock market, finished all projects on my house and was cruising to the holiday season… then suddenly, I got a call that changed my life. We had to leave our home and not come back. So we didn’t, except to put on market, sell and move out. Moved to an undisclosed part of the nation and am building a permanent home which will be done later this year. On October 1, I weighed 204 and was in the best shape ever. Today, I’m 220ish and haven’t felt hungry since then. Basically just went straight to food to cope. I went back to my 2 candy bars after lunch and added a bag of M&Ms. Three energy drinks a day and probably a large blizzard. Fuck, that sucks to write.

The last 10 days have been the hardest, I’ve driven over 28 hours and stayed 6 nights in 4 hotels. I ended the year landing a huge job in a new region and just opened my second office to manage on the 30th (two days ago).

On the challenge, embarrassing to post, but here they are:

Life will be weird for next 5 months until I move into home. Hoping I can channel my stress to something good.

You said this really casually, but obviously you’re the only one who really understands it and all I can guess, besides this maybe having to do with your new family additions, is that the gravity of this situation must be mind-boggling to deal with. Don’t beat yourself up for finding comfort in food.
Also, if you ever want to talk about anything in a 100% confidential setting, to vent or anything, I can throw up an email address. Otherwise, glad to see ya kickin.

Also, you look fine. Seriously. You’ll be critical of yourself, I’m sure, but really - those aren’t embarrassing pics.

Not sure I’ve fully processed it. Just did what I had too and haven’t stopped for last few months.

I may take you up on that. Got awhile to go before life becomes normal again.

It’s pretty bad compared to September. Mostly frustrated I let myself go this much.

In most circumstances, the way things are sucks compared to the way things were at their best. No worries.

And yeah - literally anytime. I’m not a “fixer” either - I’ll give advice on a forum, but in a private setting, I usually assume nobody wants me to try to fix anything, only to shut up and listen, so if you need someone to shut up and listen, I’m all ears. Drop a note here or in my log and I’ll throw it up.
