Dchris's Grappling with Age

Oh, and I enjoy discussing things with you - flame or no flame, I don’t take offense. Hope you won’t either.

I think we’re starting to see PED TRT. Look at my example. A guy told me 700 is low T for someone my age. I could be better. I don’t feel any different now than I did 15 years ago so I can’t really justify TRT.

If you show me someone who is at 200 and hates life then I say pin away. For me (and probably a bunch of other people), it would just be legal PED use. And I’m perfectly ok with that; I just prefer people tell it like it is instead of hiding behind the medical diagnosis.

On a side note, I see low T and high estrogen evident in adolescent boys. You know why - they eat poison and sit on their ass all day. I bet their T could be boosted by lifestyle changes. If it’s true for them then why not apply that to the sloppy 35 year old who just started exercising for the first time in his adult life?

Morning weight: fuck 207

Since I can’t shake 207, I’m gonna start becoming a cardio bunny. My body really is fighting going lower. Tonight my wife and I have a sitter. I was planning on having several drinks tonight to celebrate hitting a new low… but now I’ll be having drinks sad I can’t shake 207.

Realized my workouts haven’t been too hard. Mainly because of calorie deficit. I upped my lunch and threw a tamale into my protein only lunch. Going to use the extra carbs/cals for a 10x10 front squat session followed by 20 minute stair master.

That all sounds horrible.

Lol. I’m guilty of gratuitous flaming in the past. Trying to be a better person. Thanks.

Both sides of the coin here. When I started on TRT in 2015 I was 180@11% with belly fat. When I started on TRT, nothing changed workout wise (except recovery time, which is huge) and I ended up at 195@11%. As mentioned, my T was 170. Granted, my belly fat wasn’t that bad, but TRT noticeably changed that.

I should be clear that I am a little defensive about this conversation because, of course, I B&C’d myself. And all I can address are my own experiences, and some anecdotal experiences from reading the boards.

And to clarify, at 170, I had legit symptoms.

I also wanted to get jacked.

Agreed, and I think this is where we are shadow boxing. If you have Low T, you’re arguably already shut down. I believe you are saying that MD’s that prescribe T to guys with levels in the 600’s, and guys in thge 600’s that go on TRT, is a bad scenario, and I agree.

I think that number is high, but…as TRT becomes more accepted and popular, that number is bound to increase.

Only if you are taking it to gain supra-physiological effects. If you lack HGH, then HGH replacement shouldn’t be a problem.

I read somewhere that the T levels of 2019 are significantly below those of men in the early 1900’s for just that reason - more sedentary lifestyles, processed food, toxins, etc…

Anyhoo, that’s my rant.

@dchris, arrive PDX 2/15, depart 2/20. If you find yourself in the city proper with time to kill, hit me up.

Cool, let me figure out what I’m doing and see if I can make a trip.

I’m there often and I know you are busy AF, so if it works out, great. If not, no worries.

I also don’t live very close to PDX anymore.

Edit: was looking at scheduling an appt. up there, but I’m out M-F that week, in another part of the state.

It was… but I think it worked. Just sat up and super light headed. Going to go bust out some abs and arms. See if I can burn through the glycogen stores and start drinking shit tons of water to piss out all the extra water weight.

What’s your poison for tonight? Beer, rum, vodka, tequila, whiskey?

Rob Roy with Laphroig as the scotch… and carbs.

I was going to tell you to avoid the sugar and carbs. A little booze always helped me hit a new low the following morning. It’s a fake, dehydrated number, but it still feels good to see it.

I’m pretty sure that’s how I hit 207 to begin with. Stomach was empty of food and dehydrated. Now, hydrated and belly having some food I can’t break 207.

Considering I’m down 13lbs since December, without much cardio I should be content. I just need to start using more tools to break this barrier.

I’m not sure if you took a break from cutting, but I can sympathize with the process. My cut from 250 to sub 210 drained me mentally. It’s rough and easy to stop for a day or two…or a week or two.

I’ve had two real cheats, where I went over cals for the day.

Two weeks ago, I forwent breakfast and lunches except for a protein bar and had two pints of Ben and Jerrie’s light ice cream. It was like 690 cals, but, I mean, two pints in 30 minutes.

When my kids were young I became the human garbage can - “Oh, you’re not going to eat that chicken nugget, I got you bro.”

“No more ice cream for you, no problem, let me take care of that.”

Gained a lot of weight that way. Got to the point that in restaurants, I didn’t order, just cleaned up after the kids.

Been there. You know you’ve gone fucked up when you find yourself putting extra food on your kids plate so that when they leave it, you get to eat it.
