Not sure if I’ll lift tonight or not. Work is crazy right now. Without going into too much detail, a client thought I was too young and raised the concern to my bosses multiple times that I can’t be the lead guy. It was pretty hurtful at first, because I had a good relationship with the guy who raised the concerns but he never told me or indicated that he felt this way. Flash forward 8 months, to now, and they don’t want to work with my co-workers and want me to be the liaison between them and my team. While that isn’t physically possible for one person, I’ve been somehow making that work and carrying the load of an employee we just let go. Works going really welll, I’m exceeding all expectations and killing it on my projects. Litterally everyone is happy… but me. Been feeling under appreciated for the amount of work I’m doing. Supposed to be on a two vacation tomorrow and the boss forgot and made a big deal about it. My last vacation I ended up working 30 hours during a 5 day vacation time. The nice part was I only used 10 hours of vacation, the bit nice part is I didn’t actually enjoy my vacation. Seems I get sucked into work regardless of my time off. Meanwhile, two coworkers get back tomorrow from vacation and they didn’t get bugged once.

Will hit front squats later tonight after I watch the voice. Then work until midnight, so I can pack and leave early tomorrow.

Luckily, I work for the Owner. So I deal with much less of that aspect, since, you know, I’m the one making those outrageous deadlines and requirements.

This could be immediate implementation for a workaholic. One heavy movement and cardio every session. Make it happen and you’ll start to see improvements in lifestyle changes and level of well-being. It’s not like you’re competing or anything. Get to that single digit bodyfat domain and everybody starts appreciating how important your training is and gently nudge you off to an early-training start.

Since we have sprung forward now and weather is getting better I’m going to try and start doing heavy trap bar farmers walks. There is a new road next to my house waiting for new houses to go in this summer. So it’s perfect and freshly paced for heavy walks. Will try and incorporated them this week.
Bring straps with you, but don’t use them at first. If you can walk 5 minutes with 225 in your hands and your grip starts to fail the straps give you an easier trip home. Don’t ask how I know.
