I’m an ectomorph with trouble puttin on weight myself… Try adding 1 cup of oatmeal or rogers porridge (invest in a magic bullet) to every shake you have. Shots of olive oil help. And for fucks sakes eat the yolk. Eat quicker. The faster you eat the more you can consume without feeling full. Some people say that eating every 2-3 hours ramps up the metabolism but fuck that just eat as much as humanly possible as fast as you can ahah.
Also, put 80-90 g dextrose in your post workout shake. My god I hope you dont have a girlfriend hahah… gona be fartin up a storm and shittin 3-4 times a day. YEAH BUDDY!!!
Keep working at it buddy itll come… 2 lbs a month is 24 lbs a year… and if you dont think you can put on 2 lbs in a month then youre bullshitting yourself and everyone in this forum. Good luck…
My net gain this year is + 12 lbs and decreased bf 4%. Still natty and being patient (19 yo). Find a training ppartner with the same goals and get work done.

I live by the magic bullet! Like I said my stomach is my fat area. Weight loves to go there seems like every 5 lbs i add 1.5-2 goes to the gut.

Your a man, if you were a woman the fat you gain would go to hips, ass and thighs. Its tough but perhaps better then being a fatass or thunder thighs?? Time to go do legs…
Coming from someone who has not achieved as much as some of the others on this forum (me) but has made some of the same decisions, you are getting great advice, be patient, adding muscle happens over MANY MANY NIGHTS, as I am sure you know…

You say you cant gain. But you say that your stomach accumulates fat. SOMETHING IS OFF WITH YOUR DIET. Because obviously those calories are getting stored somewhere. Obviously everyone will put on some bodyfat while gaiing muscle. So unless you have a delusional perception of what gaining muscle entails, you just arent doing it right.
And if you really only gain 1-2 pounds of fat for every 5 total pounds thats pretty good. I dont know how anyone wouldnt be happy with that ratio.
If, when you do gain weight, most of it goes to flab on your gut, you might want to question the intensity of your workouts. ![]()

I agree 100% with the diet issue.
You mention in your diet plan - protein shake or steak or what ever depending on work ?
theres your mistake right there…your protein shakes should augment your daily meals not act as a meal replacement. I would suggest having the protein shake when you get up, breakfast, protein shake and a fruit, your lunch, then another protein shake and some carb, then supper, then another protein shake, then a snack, then ur before sleep protein. Also some where along the line, incorporate peanut butter…high in calories and protein…
Used to do what you do in terms of diet mostly because of work as well… carry a cooler to work with your meals…and a flask or 2 with the shakes…if ure dedicated then you shouldnt have a problem
