Mainly that we couldn’t stop watching and I enjoyed the soundtrack. (Playlist is on Spotify.)
I did have some reservations about it — like the idea that rabbis would be flippant and accepting of casual sex — but found it addictive regardless. What did you think?

Super addictive!! Very dynamic in terms of mood and vibe, which I love. That you enjoyed the soundtrack supports my sense that it’s a well-executed show overall.
I’m less into the narrative substance (but I don’t need to be) so I’m curious to see how the show plays out. I haven’t figured out if Brody’s character is all that coherent yet, kinda like what you’re saying!. Kristen Bell, on the other hand, is like the queen of hot neurotic. I expect great things.

That’s a good way to put it. I enjoy her stuff as a whole. She’s a fantastic actress. Same with Brody. Their chemistry was amazing and that kiss on the sidewalk after the ice cream… it’s what female fantasies are made of.

I’ve heard this from a lot of people. I’m not really into smutty stuff in general, so I think based on your review too, I’m going to give it a pass. I haven’t super loved any of the Colleen Hoover stuff I’ve read so far either. It’s all okay, but every time I’ve finished one, I just feel depressed. lol.

I just didn’t find any of the characters likable, and for me that’s a dealbreaker. I need to be able to root for someone.

I grew up on fishing boats and spent my free time in weight rooms, then I enlisted, then went into manufacturing.
I’m a gentleman to the women i care about, but I don’t know how not to swear. It just comes with the package

This. For five years, I was with a guy who used the f-word at every opportunity and sometimes even more. I left that relationship with a few bruises and the mouth of a sailor. It took me years to drop the f-bomb habit.
