awesome Dan John
A few more queries about some of the drills mentioned on your site:
-
Shoulder dislocates for warming up. How do you do them? Do you know of any pictures or videos that I could look at?
-
In the drill where you get lifters to inch the bar from the ground until above the knees then exploding with the rest of the lift, is this drill mostly done with a broomstick, an empty bar or a loaded bar? (I realise it could be done with all three!)
So, Power Cleans have one “little” advantage…it sets your hands and elbows up better for the press. You don’t have to “reload” usually, as you do in the Squat Clean.
Loaded bar is the best…up to 80% works actually wonders.
I can’t explain the dislocates. Hold the broomstick and stretch your shoulders…it’s pretty common.

Is it just pull the bar back as far as your shoulders will let you? If so then I have done them before, I think it is just the word “dislocate” which had me thinking they might be something more complicated.
Thanks Dan
Yes, that’s it…don’t make it too complex…you’d lose me!
