28 minutes treadmill hike

Had to replace the cabin air filter on my car today (way overdue I have had the car 10 years and don’t think I replaced it). Some white “fog” that smelled like a clogged rotting air filter started blowing out my vents anytime I put the blower on.

Anyway, I want to smack whatever engineer ay Mazda designed this crappy two piece cabin air filter system. The access door is in the corner of the passenger footwell and barely has enough room to take the door off even. Then you have to reach into this tiny hole and pull out two filters that are stacked one on top of the other. That’s not too bad. The problem comes on the reinstall where you have to insert the upper filter through the small door and push it up into the filter chamber, then hold it there while trying to get my other meaty paw in place and gently slide the bottom piece along the flimsy plastic channel in the bottoms of the top filter. What the hell Mazda? No positive lock to hold the top filter in while trying to slide the bottom one in place. This problem could have been solved with one well placed piece of springy metal and a tiny tab on the filter.

Okay end rant at bad engineering.

That 5th rep on the first set of pull-ups came out of nowhere. Was not expecting that today especially in a fasted state. Pleasantly surprised.

Definitely feel weak picking that sandbag up off the floor. 150 lbs feels like a ton more when condensed into a 16 inch cylinder.

I feel like every time I catch up on your log you’re sick or getting over something. Hope as we start to come out of winter (or just “sick” season, I know you’re in FL, not the Arctic) that you get an extended stretch of sickness-free training!

I hope so too. Had a good run at the end of the year last year post hospitilization (for the most part). Dang kids bring home all sorts of germs from school. Outside of some post-nasal drip this one has calmed down. I’ve had 21 workout sessions in the last 40 days or so, so I am averaging every other day which isn’t too bad.

I feel that. I started taking I-Well a while ago. Hard to tell if it works (am I not getting sick because…I’m not getting sick, or is it because of the supplement?) but I needed to try something to fight off the school/workplace germs.

Going to the endocrinologist tomorrow to discuss results and path forward. Not sure what my diabetes is doing to me right now or how healthy my pancreas is which kind of sucks.

34 minutes treadmill hike (completed virtual “hike to Everest base camp” series)

Doctor recommended a CGM so hopefully insurance will cover. Will be nice to know what’s going on with my blood sugar levels throughout the day and be able to make adjustments.

Was this one one of those super incline treadmills that go up to 30%? My gym has a few and I use it at least once a week and hate my life the whole time! Lol!

Thanks for the offer. I think I just need to be a bit more disciplined and work with my doc to get meds adjusted.

Only thing I really need help with is how do I avoid grazing?
