Cy, Need Your Help

I just called Biotest customer service and they told me that Surge is going to be out for another 3 weeks. This is too long to go without a post workout drink since I do 5 day split.

I’m forced to find an alternative for these 3 weeks until Surge is back again. Other then Surge, John Berardi has two more recommendations for a post workout drink, Countdown and Relentless. But I’d like to hear your opinion on the proper formulation of those two and which one would you recommend as a temporally replacement while we’re all waiting for Surge.

Thanks a lot.

Why not make your own with the recipe given in Berardi’s Solving the Post-Workout Puzzle?

Here’s some suggestions. Hope they help!

  1. Glucose tablets (found in the Diabetic isle of your local Wal Mart) + Whey

  2. Maltodextrin (from your local brewery) + Whey

  3. Skim Milk

  4. Gatorade/Powerade + Whey

  5. Sweet Tarts (someone mentioned this in another post) + Whey

More as I think of them. . .

John Berardi and Dave Barr are much more knowledgeable when it comes to this sort of supplementation than I, so I’d go with what they recommend. I do recall seeing that JB recommended skim milk if you don’t have Biotest Surge around at the time and the other recommendations noted by Atmosphere are better than nothing at all as well.

Thanks a lot guys.

I’ve read that JB recommends skim milk for recovery for those who don’t have Surge.

3 More Weeks. Christ. Anyone know about Low-Carb Grow!? Sorry for the Hi-Jack.

The same.

Hey man, since everyone is suggesting milk, I’ll go one step further and suggest chocolate milk. It’s not perfect, but it’s cheap and readily available. Throw in more sucrose if you want (this coming from a guy with a MAJOR sweet tooth) post workout.

We’ll all survive without Surge for a few weeks (barely). lol

I’m off to the Olympia expo for some free protein shake and protein Barr breakfast.

Cheers
