I haven’t read the whole thread so it might be covered, muscle isnt related to strength as much as people think. Simple fix to strength lose is have a high carb day on strength days and eat most of those carbs before and after that workout.
It wouldn’t be too long if I go maintenance and then cut again? If you really ask me I’d like to end up this stage cause I’m going to be very busy next month, so I won’t have that much time to do cardio in the morning for example. I planning to cut until 20 week, maintenance and going on a deficit again would be a lot of time, we are talking about probably eight months just in a weight loss process
There is no one answer for everyone’s body. Try 4 weeks and then add in 30 mins cardio again. Drop your calories by 200 a go until your weight stops dropping then drop 200 again. Keep going until you get back to your current weight and see if your new calorie intake level is higher or not. If yes…then you are good to go, if not, do another 4 weeks of maintenance.
Once that is addressed, try doing 2 weeks larger calorie drop - 1 week medium calorie drop - 1 week maintenance; repeat. That way you avoid the hole you’ve (and everyone who needs to drop alot of fat) falls into. And by giving yourself a planned break, the 3 weeks suck alot less even though it’s harder.
I’m literally no bulking this year then💀.
It’s a lot of time but it makes sense, if that’s the way losing fat is not a process of 3-4 months almost never and I wasn’t obese at all.
Thanks you so much man
What do you do if you are losing strength even with additional carbs day?
I like to use the strength metric because it is the only empirical method to monitor muscle loss. It work very well for me.
Guys today I finished my 18 weeks of cutting, it’s been four months and a half. Bodyweight now around 167.5 pounds. I’ll finally go maintenance for a few weeks and then I’ll decide what’s my next step.
Next week I’ll do a deload week, I’m not doing it since I started this cut so it’s necessary.
I wanna ask you a couple of questions:
Should I avoid cardio eating at maintenance ?
What would you think is my bf% rn?
Also I wanna thank you all, I appreciate your support in this post I’m thankful about your opinions.
no. good for your health.
12-15.5%
I’m currently doing cardio low intensity every other day for 20-30min, maybe reduce it to twice a week could be a good approach?
