Hello, I’m currently 6’7 275lbs with around 18 percent body fat.
Im on TRT currently and about to do a cut cycle.
It’s a 21 week cut cycle.
The first 12 weeks will be…
350mg of test a week
300mg of NPP a week
The last 9 weeks will be
350mg of test a week
50mg of Var a week
My diet will be a caloric deficit starting at 300 calorie deficit a day and will slowly go up to a 600 calorie deficient a day. Depending on results this may vary.
Goals are to lose body fat and maintain muscle. I’m not new to cycles and I’ve been on TRT over 4 years. I know NPP isn’t a common cutting compound but it’s has low side effects for me and my body response well to it.
I believe I am. I can see my abs but do have some fat over them. I’ve been training all my life. I was in the military and now I’m a firefighter so I’m fortunate to get paid to workout. I could be slightly higher but just going off a fitness scan we get every year at the fire department and looking at pictures online of bf percentages
I would aim for a steeper deficit. This can be accomplished through restricting calories further, or increasing daily activity.
What method do you plan to use to restrict calories?
Just eating less?
Time restriction (intermittent fasting)?
Food restriction (carnivore/keto)?
Macro based?
From my experience cycling AAS (I know TRT is superior to “off cycle”), I would start a cycle 12 weeks out from a contest. I would start a little over 240lbs and compete at 218lbs. The first 6 weeks I would be getting stronger as my fat was dropping off. Being on TRT, your strength gains might not be as much as I experienced, but it should not drop any. I would guess that it would increase.
If you can have a similar experience, I would not allow myself to lose any strength as your weight drops. I mean, if you are getting weaker you are dropping weight too fast. You should be able to get close to 10% body fat before your strength drops.
I’ve tried a variety of methods, including intermittent fasting, cutting carbs down on non-workout days (carb management, eating them around workouts), and lowering calories.
What has worked best for me is calorie restriction. The old school method of eating multiple small meals a day works really well with my body. My Maintenance calories are pretty high around 3,500. So I’m able to get in a deficit by eating multiple meals a day (up to 6 times).
I incorporate a lot of fish during cuts. Very low calories so you can eat a lot of it. Of course chicken, lean ground turkey, ground beef, eggs and steak. Carbs come from mainly rice, oats and fruit. (I do use carb management as-well) But my main “hack” that works for me is fish.
I don’t need to lose a ton of fat and I don’t mind drawing out the cut longer. But if I’m not getting the goals I want I will lower the calories.
I also have a job that requires me to workout, run, run stairs, do training in full bunker gear, work outside, etc… so I burn a lot of calories. But everything is subject to change
Man I cannot for the life of me figure out how to post a question! So ima hop on your coat tail my guy (sorry) I need a little help. I did some time and came out 250lb. Fluffy af. Dropped to 210lb natty. Just dieting. I ran a cycle of Test Ethante with Deca, Tri tren and masteron. Got pretty good gains but I got to the point I cldnt fkn eat anymore. So now I’ve ran a cycle of Winny, dbol(to help with my joints drying out) aromataste inhibitor test sustanon. I got very little to no progress out of it and I’m dieting. I stay in a calorie deficit and cannot lose much to any at all. I’m 6’ 220ish lbs. and I’m 40. I’ve ran dbol and test in the past along with deca and done great. Bulk cycles I got down for the most part. This cut shit is fkn me up. I need help. Also open to clem. If anyone can help please and thanks in advance
Being 40 makes it tough if you haven’t figured out losing fat. It is helpful if you have a lot of muscle. I have a few questions:
Do you look like you obviously lift weights?
Do you consider yourself strong compared to others in the gym?
How much fat do you believe you need to lose to be pleased with your appearance?
My initial suggestion is to see if you can lose body weight without getting weaker when on an AAS cycle. Don’t worry if you only lose as little as 5lbs the first cycle try. At least you should look better than before the cycle. Try to hold that look so that you start the second cycle attempt looking better than the start of the first cycle cut attempt. My challenge to you is to not get weaker no matter what. It is called bodyBUILDING. Building, not losing, is the most important aspect.
The better your genetics, the easier this is to do.
