Nah - they’re pretty loose…'cept 'round the butt.

So you thinking of attacking Denmark or was the belt made in Norway? Great squats. Makes me want to get a belt.

I just want to carve out a little piece of it for myself is all - and her name is Connie Nielsen (Lucilla in “Gladiator”).

I gotta say: the belt makes a big difference in my confidence on the squat. I’m willing to handle more weight and the force transfer from legs to shoulder to bar is much more solid and faster. Easier on the back too since the belt supports the spine from the front. Interesting feeling. The last few sets I could feel the pressure in my eyeballs, however.

Scale sez 200 again.

I’m still hungry. I might actually have to cut weight for the meet in April. Two things I like about this program is that I get to keep my appetite and I sleep better.

There’s a push-pull in late May, too, down at Wild Iron Gym in Santa Clara. Only 40 miles away.

Training is looking great, but your new avatar totally creeps me out. perfectly appropriate and well-chosen, just creepy. but I’m always so uncomfortable around skinny guys.

I don’t like it too much myself, but it was the least scary albino pic I could find in google. Guy’s too skinny even for me to be comfortable with.

Not sure if either is to your taste, one looks like a charming albino to me and the other is kind of an homage to petes avatar

No idea how to put two images in one post

DaCharmingAlbino likes your offering.

Nice training Tony. I can’t believe I read you may have to cut weight. That must feel different.

That’s if I want to stay in the 198 class. But going with the viewpoint of “The universe doesn’t give a shit about how strong per pound you are,” I think I’ll just continue on towards fatness.

I vote for the gorilla

Only people who are scared of gaining weight care about # for #. At least thats my belief. Too old to care about that. Only care about health and how much I’m lifting. Oh yea, and a major contributor to health is ‘not worry about small shit’. Works for me. Stress level goes down, performance in all areas goes up. Go figure.

the old lardasses are more pleased with the new avatar. we commend you.

Remember, as Matt Rhodes said, you should lift at 308 unless your are shorter than 5 feet tall.

The gorilla is perfect, damn fine squatting.
