Good question, that one. Yes I’m hoping for higher 1RM, but I want more “walking around” strength as well. So I’ll be doing the above 5 days per week with 2 rest days. My experience in the past with Steve Justa type of lifting (which this is) is that I have a higher average level of daily strength. I end up being good-to-go for heavy weights with less or even no warmup. It will eventually result in higher 1 RM, just not as fast as doing max singles.
when you aren’t trying something different, how long did a typical session take you? I’ve been running over an hour and not doing much additional work beyond the main sets running up to a 3-6 singles.

Bout an hour and change up to 2 hours depending on how much I run my mouth.

Just to stir things up (well, not really), I’ve gotta ask: if you want more “walking around” strength, don’t you have to ditch the belt for training?

duuuuuude - I am green with envy. you are gonna have fun with those. Where did you find them?[/quote]
Bought 'em off of the Garage Gym Store website. Bar is supposed to get here the 9th, plates probably about the same time. There’s some delivery guy out there who’s going to hate my guts.
A buddy who has about 1600 lbs of Oly weights is going to loan me some of his as well.
