You’ve heard of Mini-Me? I’ll be your Skinny-Me.

Overhead Press from Rack (with stinger)
115x3,3
135x3,3
145x3
165x1,0,0,1
145 3x4 sets
Had to go with a closer grip to keep the neck stinger quiet. Right shoulder still didn’t like it. Down 20 lbs and 3 reps. Mebbe better next week.
Deficit DL (4" block, small plates and shoe with a heel)
215x3
265x3
315x3
365x2
415x1,1,1
385 1x2 sets (D O Hand)
Cheated BB Rows
115x5
165x5
215x3
270 3x4 sets
Wanted 5 sets on rows, but neck hurt every rep and I didn’t want to continue. DLs seemed to loosen it up a lot, but not enough to go all out.
Nice deficit deads. I love those. Double overhand deads @ 385 is pretty great too. Just when I thought I might be able to administer a whoop down on you in your weakened condition…
And what’s that neck stinger thingie, something to keep you from barking or somesuch thing?

I sure did miss your sense of humor. Glad you’re back.
Nah - pulled a trap muscle up where it attaches to my neck. Can’t tip or turn my head, or rather I can, but prefer very much not to do so. But so long as I keep my neck in a neutral position, eyes front and right shoulder pulled back I seem to be able to do stuff. Sleeping comfortably seems to be out of the picture though.

It’s still a little tender, but my sprained ankle didn’t end up being all that bad, though I was musing how much injuries to the seemingly small muscles really impact quality of life. Traps…that’s got to really stink, especially when it affects your sleep.
Nice puling Tony, take care of the neck.
About your Vid:
I really don’t know what to say…
Holy s#1+! comes to mind…
And Damn you’re jacked! I find your poundages nearly inconceivable, then to see, actually see, your very low body fat.
Inspiring!
After seeing that I certainly can’t skip bike ride today…

Amazingly enough, us. I gather your neck is better.

for some reason this made me think of the Care Bears…“Care a lot. We care a lot. da da da”
Am I wrong or are the weights/reps climbing on your floor presses?

That Care-Bears thing is right in line with my emotional age at the moment too.
The weight and reps are indeed climbing much to my surprise. I believe this is the most I’ve ever floor pressed - Certainly at this body weight (185). I’m only supposed to do one rep, but they aren’t too hard so I’m pushing it a bit. Squats are tough right now.

Thank you kimba. Sorry if I sounded unappreciative - it was a bad day for baby Tony.
Neck is troublesome upon waking, but gets better with warm-ups and I think it’ll be fine tomorrow morning.

Long story that needs no telling. Thanks Harry.

All of your Over-35 buddies care! and I know that some stories really need no telling
yeah, but if you don’t tell us, we cant give you man-support disguised as mean and sarcastic jibes.
Hope things are looking up for you soon.
Like I was really interested in your story, man, sheesh…I only care about your numbers. And I only really care about those when I have even a faint glimmer of hope that I might best them.
…so…
Yeah…I guess I’ve never really been interested in much of anything here.

Going in: Eager to train. 4 hours sleep and neck is tweaking a bit, but I want to lift. BW=184
Clean And Press
115x5
135x5
150x3
165x2
180 1x6 sets
Deficit DL (6" box)
225x5 (DOH, Clean-width Grip)
315x3 (ditto)
385x2 " + belt on
405x2,1,1,1,3 (ditto the ditto)
Cheat BB Rows
270 3x6 sets
CGBP
220x3,2,3,3,2,2
Front Squat
225x5
Ab Wheel from knees
8x5 sets
Notes: Strong on everything today. Lost the groove a couple of times on C&P but powered 'em up anyway. Very surprised by DDL, as 385/405 was hard last time I did them. Tempted to raise weight on CGBP, but I’m going to run out the sets as planned; if I get 3 reps/set that would be cool but I don’t need to push it.
Interesting article on “overtraining.”
