Curls Gone Wild

Thats some good benching, regardless of patience level.

Thanks Joe. Seems to be coming along.

KCGBP (Kinda Close Grip Bench Press - paused at chest)
140x5
160x3
180x3
210x3
230x2
240x1 (Base line PR)
215x5

Deep Anderson Squat (Pin 4, 4" below parallel)
210x3
240x3
270x3
300x1 (belt on)
330x1 (PR +10 lbs)
340x1 (PR +20 lbs)

No High Anderson Squat today. Doing High Anderson’s next time.

1-Arm DB Rows
70x5
105x5
135x5
145 5x2 sets

Wasn’t sure I was going to train today. Glutes and hams were feeling fried, but it turned out all right. These squats I took out of the rack and descended to pins so they weren’t strictly Anderson’s. I took a slow 3 count at the bottom and unloaded the bar onto the pins before pushing it back up - so they aren’t really paused squats either. Descending with the bar helps me keep my squat groove.

Clean and press (1 press per clean)
140x3
150x3
160x3
170x1
180 1x5 sets (PR +5 lbs)

160x5

Good enough for today.

That is some heavy pressing. A bit of home gym housekeeping might not go amiss, though.

It’s all organized. You have to be me to understand it, though.

Great work, Tony. That last set wore me out just watching it.

Was there a marriage proposal, accepted, that I, Voyeur missed?

edit to add: Lots of good cleaning going on in those videos.

He likes it.

There have been two or three so far. I keep turning her down, though.

I am digging this program.

I can get stronger even in the absence of food, for crying out loud. Up to a point of course.

Gonna try for 440 on high anderson’s tomorrow. If that goes fairly easily I’ll attempt 450.

Heavy singles to/from pins on bench are on the schedule. See if I can get past 260. Shoulder’s coming along.

And I get to do my no-cable cable rows too.

I almost didn’t get that last clean as a matter of fact.

My palms do not sweat. They never have. I cannot drag a piece of paper across a flat surface without pinch-gripping it because my fingers have no moisture to create friction against it. However, my forearms down near the wrist will run rivers.

In short - I sweat like a kangaroo.

Now you know things about me that even my mother doesn’t.

Its difficult to be patient. But take solace in the fact that you’re stronger then 99.9% of the guys out there your weight (and much heavier).
And let me tell you, it’s an ego-booster to be the strongest chihuahua in the pack!

Stronger than some pugs, even!
5’ 8", <180 here, lifting “commercial gym poundages”. Thank god for the WebZ, or else I’d be getting sand kicked on my face. Oh, wait, it’s the WebZ…actually, I’m 6 feet, 225 lbs of Elite, chiseled marble, yeah, that’s it.

Serious questions again: any difference in shoulder health effects between benching from pins vs. regular pause & go? When you do multiple reps of Andersons, do you re-set, or just pause between reps (if so, how long?) Tia.

Its actually just so much easier to be truthful than make up shit. I guess that’s why I find some of the silly shit I see at the gym so funny, especially from the ‘younger’ generation. I’m just waiting for one of these ‘wonder benchers’ to ask me for a spot  I won’t kill em. Just let them suffer a bit

Nice C&P Tony. Looks like the program is reaping rewards for you.

And something new about kangaroos!

Actually - kangaroos lick their forearms/wrists and use the evaporation of the saliva to cool themselves - so I’m sorta off the mark in my claims for myself. I haven’t licked my forearms for years…though I may have kissed a biceps.

Mine of course. Quit that!

I bet you’re hell at Trvial Pursuit.

Bench Press (paused on pins)
140 5x2 sets
160x3
190x3
220x3
240x1
260x1 (hm. not too hard)
270xnotgunnahappin.
f*k.
250 1x4 sets
230x3

High Anderson/Paused Squats (pin 6)
230x3
270x3
310x3
350x3
390x1
420x1 (belt on)
440x1 (PR + 10 lbs)

Stopped there. The last one felt heavier than it should have. They all did. Once I hit 450 on the Andersons I’m going to start taking the pin height down somehow.

No-cable cable row
250 5x2 sets

good enough. Pissed about bench though. Pretty sure I’m going to have to do rep work on it to get it to move. I thought multiple singles would move it, but I guess not.

saw the new vid…that is SICK! :stuck_out_tongue:

what program are you doing? or is it your own?

Which brings to mind this question: can one stalk a willing victim?
