I feel like like a wuss lol i eat only 3-4 whole omega 3 eggs every other day. Im also not trying to bulk and 6" 165lbs.
I prefer hard boiled, usually cook up 9-12 or so at a time. I like them whole with pepper and spicy mustard or horseradish.

I see no problems with eating 12 eggs. I guess the only downside could be that some people might develop an allergy by eating that many eggs EACH AND EVERY DAY. That is the only aspect that I see problematic in it. Maybe you should take a couple days off a week from eating them, just so you don’t risk becoming allergic.
12 a day sounds about right. I bought 6 dozen this weekend, so I’m not quite as serious about my egg consumption, but I still get it done.

If you look better than they do, their jealousy will come out and they will try to sabotage you any way they can…telling you how unhealthy you are and such. Its a way of lying to themselves, to pretend their healthy but you…the guy who looks good…isn’t. Just a little self deceit. [/quote]
Like I said above…he coulda stopped right when he said “this fat woman”. She’s jealous.

That’s actually pretty funny. I might have to use that some time. Would probably be even funnier if you just said it seriously with a straight face, give them a blank stare for a few seconds, then turn and walk away while your drinking your shake.
There is a reason I eat the yolk raw. It prevents the cholesterol from being oxidized and retains all the nutrients. After researching the egg yolk, I’m surprised how many nutrients are packed into it.
I know that I could have stopped at “fat woman,” but I was so shocked by her comments. Want to here another… I mentioned that I rely on cardio to ensure my heart is healthy. Then I mentioned that I ran 3 miles in my interval session of 20 minutes. She replied, “you stopped after 20 minutes? You know that does nothing for you, right?”
I’ve learned my lesson trying to educate such idiots.
So happy I’ve found T-Nation.
Long live the egg!!!

I would also like to just cook the egg whites, and eat the yolk raw, Have you found a good method to separate the yolks? I suppose i could just crack some eggs in a bowl and spoon out the yolk and just cook the whites.
Buy an egg separator for a couple of bucks. Mine was !@U&ing expensive because I bought it at the mall, since I am stuck with public transportation.
Although poaching seems okay, eating the yolk raw ensures that you get all the enzymes entact. The enzymes get destroyed as the yolk is heated beyond 105 degrees.
I had a dude smaller than me tell me squatting is going to destroy my back and knees just yesterday.
Stupid people happen.
I eat about 10 eggs a day and have been doing so for over a year. I had blood work done and I’m healthy as a horse.

I shake my head in disgust.
Honestly, some of the views being expressed here are ridiculous; on a given day I probably eat a few chicken breasts, along with half a pound of mince or similar, 6-12 eggs, etc. It just sounds like a lot when you add it up in a month - just like anything else would!

The egg!!!
Dude, I hammer back 12 eggs a day just because I love em, they are cheap, and their nutritional profile is perfect for my eating habits. I get shit from know-it-all’s frequently about how my cholesterol is probably through the roof. People that tell me this kind of stuff are usually binge-drinkers and fry-eaters (I go to a college filled with unhealthy people).
This is coming from people who eat the “healthy” breakfasts, like Special K (sure its low fat, but its loaded with sugar). total bullshit. What the fuck do they think cavemen ate? A bowl of sugary wheat cereal or a hunk of animal flesh?
We could talk for hours about how the health industry is fucked. They’ve tailored their products around cheap ingredients (although wheat isn’t so cheap anymore) and the low-fat fad (that for some reason still exists) and we’ve never been more unhealthy. It is a piss-off, but what can ya do? You can show them scientific proof and they’ll still believe that a sugary yogurt and a bowl of sugary cereal is much better for you than eggs and bacon for breakfast.
I love this site.
I’m eating eggs as I read this thread.
I don’t know if I should laugh or cry when I think about all the delicious, high fat food that I’m eating and others are avoiding, all while they eat their extra-small sugary-ass yogurt cup that you can barely fit a spoon in.
What I think is most hilarious about the “low-fat” fad is that many studies showed people actually consuming MORE calories by eating low fat items than regular items. I recall a study with M&Ms and low fat M&Ms where i think the “low-fat” group ate almost like 30% more calories because they ate alot more M&Ms thinking “oh these are healthy, their low-fat”.
Not too mention the fact that most low fat items have extra sugar carbs.
If you really are bigger than the person commenting on your egg habits, reference this:
You could start it at 2:23, but watch the full video if you’re comfortable with your own T-Levels.
I ate 5 eggs scrambled for breakfast with my bacon today, and for an evening meal I just ate 6 scrambled with ham and cheese and onions and like an ocean of olive oil. Oh yeah, I ate 2 boiled eggs today. 13 eggs today! I better go eat another few cause I’m superstitious!
What i did with some eggs for dinner tonight was separate the yolk and whites. Cooked the whites, then mixed all of the yolks around with some herbs and spices. I poured the mixed up raw yolks over the cooked whites on a spinach salad, with some organic raw milk cheese, and an avocado. Was really good.
Most people are so misinformed, i agree. I see people at work pulling out their fruity yogurt cups, or “Lean Cuisine” , stupid Tofu products, or Subway. Or another favorite of mine, people ordering a large mocha SOY latte. Many think they are doing themselves a favor and “Eating healthy”.
