Crippling Headaches

Hi im sure some of you saw my last post about my e2 beimg high on my bloodwork but i had no sides. Well now ive had an absolutely crippling headache for going on the 5th day and before this i could probably count on one hand how many bad headaches ive had in my life. Can high E2 cause this? The only other thing i thought is maybe blood pressure but i keep forgetting to check it or get off so late i cant. So im assuming i should check that first. Just wasn’t sure if the E2 was even a possibility. Thank you all again as always i appreciate all yalls help!

Buy a blood pressure cuff from Amazon. There is literally no excuse on that.

I already had one since this started happening ive had to work 12 hour shifts for broken gas lines so admittedly was just ready to go to sleep which i know is lazy. I also had in my head that it wasnt that but just for information right now it was 107/58 so almost low and still have a crippling headache so what would be the next culprit? I dont have the most experience with this stuff yet. I do appreciate the input and response tho

Do you have a history of migraines in your family?
Last time you had an eye exam?

If you get dizzy after standing up quickly you may have an orthostatic hypotension for having bp that is a bit too low.

How’s your water intake?

Check your mineral balance?

Loosely…and I mean a super general recommendation is 4 parts to 3 parts to 2 parts to 1 part of potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium.

Broken gas lines, maybe fumes? 12hr shifts will do it too, especially if the work sucks. I did 12s as a maintenance mechanic at an aluminum foundry and I got headaches after a few in a row.

My mom and brother have migraines my mom has them very frequently. Ive never had then though maybe its just time for them to start. My water intake is pretty good i usually drink close to 12 of the 20 oz bottles a day definitely need to up it now that summers almost here. Also i have to be super careful with calcium because i used to get kidney stones from drinking well water that had too much calcium(something i did get from my mother) i will definitely try it though and see if i have issues with it

Well the fumes ive never really had issues with now i guess stress could be a culprit ill admit i get slightly overwhelmed sometimes and ive only been at this jib for a year total with a company buy out half way through so maybe my brain just needs a break

Never had headaches in my life until getting high E2 on TRT.

It goes high E2 → water retention → high blood pressure → headaches.

You don’t give any details on your protocol so it’s hard to give any advice. For example, if your protocol is 10mg/day Test C and nothing else, I would think it’s extremely unlikely you’re having high E2 issues.

On the other hand don’t let different personal experiences make you doubt what’s happening to you. A lot of guys think it’s impossible for anyone to suffer high E2 negative side effects because they themselves are not susceptible to them.

This whole game (HRT) is highly individual. You need to figure out what works and doesn’t work for you.

If you want better help in the future, post more details about your protocol and personal stats (weight and body fat % especially), and if possible labs.

You can buy labs at discountedlabs or something similar and drive to a Quest Diagnostics the next morning, there’s no excuse not to get labs done (assuming you live in the US).

Sorry about that i had put my recent labs in a post a few days before this and didnt think about adding them into this one my test was at 1250 and E2 was around 72 so decently over the top end of preferred range according to labs im on 200mg a week test C and currently still lowering body fat as i was at roughly 25 now down to 18 (on a “expensive” smart scale which i know isnt the most accurate) i know higher body fat makes you aromatise more so i really want to lower that im also 29 and wright roughly 180

My e2 is sky high on cycle right now and I was getting headaches, so I do what I always do: eliminate everything I take/eat/drink to determine what the cause may be. Long story short, it was tannins in green tea that was causing it. No tea for 3 days, zero headaches, muscle aches, etc. feel fantastic.

The moral of the story: we are all different and there’s a hundred different things that we intake during our day that have an impact on how we feel and function. I’d suggest doing an elimination plan removing variables and then seeing how you feel. Lowering your e2 could be one of those variables. Good luck

Yea thats kind of what ive been doing but i dont drink anything but pre workout, protein shakes/smoothies, and water so my only caffeine is from the pre workout. I did break down and take the AI after this morning’s injection and it seems to have helped today so far maybe i just want tit to work

Good, maybe you found the solution quickly

Did you take it at any other time. The reason i ask is because whenever i touched an AI i would get awful headaches.

Another time, unrelated to TRT, i was getting horrible headaches every day, out of the blue, no idea why.. Had a sinus infection. Once i took sudafed and some abx, went away almost immediately. Sudafed immediately lowered the inflammation…

So your BP is on the lower side? so, E2 raising your water retention and then raising BP being the culprit, likely isnt it.. but not sure. I have had sky high E2 and probably do currently, but have never had headaches from it.
