Crimes Against Nutrition

Okay, here we go! @Brant_Drake @BethB
We go out to eat once a week, the rest I have to cook at home. I run out of ideas…frequently. Top round was on sale yesterday, so…

I love this topic, because my plating skills are terrible and this will be a much better vehicle for me to post. Thanks for kicking it off!

Same here. I’m just happy when I get the food ready.

I don’t have a picture of it but I had pasta sauce over rice the other night. That has to be a crime!

I’m very excited for this! I have way more experience on this kind of level.

Yep. I’m having a bit of a hard time with that one. Lol

Haha that’s not as bad as the time I scrambled eggs and threw them into pasta with Alfredo sauce

But now you’ve got me thinking about chicken tikka masala… Yummmm

I put egg white protein I to potato soup once. Ruined the entire pot of soup.:rofl:

Isn’t that just a lazy carbonara?

Existentially haha

Added unflavored casein protein to my beef stew to thicken it up, worked great.

I might try that sometime. The egg white protein made the soup chunky. And not in a good way.

Beef gelatin sounds like an answer if more protein is a desire.

I’ve got a vegitarian. So we have to work around that for soupy meals.

My daily for a few weeks has been Rice + Over Easy Eggs + (insert leftover meat here) + Cholula and it always comes out fine.

It looks like british food from the 40’s, but I actually use spices

I had a recent fuck up. A client wanted a healthy version of grasshopper pie (oreo crust, creme de menthe filling) so I made a filling with cottage cheese, Stevia, and pureed mint leaves.

They said it tasted like a bowl of toothpaste.

This is why I don’t bake.

I think that’s the first time someone ever posted a picture of their food after they’ve eaten it.

I tried making chicken salad at work with hamburger pickle slices, rotisserie chicken, mayo and mustard. Turned out not great. Surprising right?!? :joy:

Its a meme, but I couldn’t resist. The ole brownies in the cornbread pan.

Actual worst thing I’ve ever seen- My wifes whole family putting mayonnaise on sloppy joes. I’m not big on messy sandwiches of any type. I even eat Primanti’s fries first until I can wrangle it into a respectable meal between slices of bread.

So sloppy joes- eh, I can do it.

Then they broke out the mayo and started slathering it all over both sides of the bun.

THEN smashing the sloppy joe on. THEN eating it.

I was horrified. It was like being invited to a satanic ritual that culminates in the desecration of a sandwich I already didn’t much care for.
