Creepiest Commercial Ever?

Is it just me, or is this the creepiest commercial ever to be put on television?

I saw it on tv tonight and for half a second I thought it was an old commercial. Then I realized he was wearing an iPod and he jsut wasn’t real. I actually felt creeped out.

Am I just a big girl, or is this just not right?

No brother, this is the creepiest commercial ever made.

that was so fucking weird

what… the… hell…

The ‘pickle’ guy literally scared me.

Did they actually put that on television?
I didn’t think something worse than the Teletubbies existed.

I was going to make some remark about ‘how sexy’ their solving of the problem was, but then I realized I wasn’t sure if the T-800 model you’re speaking of was Kristanna Loken from T3 whom I was thinking of, or Arnold from T2…

Oh what the hell, I guess they’re both sexy in their prime.
T-800 is the Arnold look-alike. The T-1000 is the liquid metal guy who’s name I always forget, and the girl from T3 was a T-X model, if memory serves.

Yeah, that’s Father Jack alright.

I <3 Father Ted, and especially Father Jack…got most of the episodes on my computer. I love the one where he drank house cleaner and they thought he was dead for ages lol

(And yes I have heard Grave of The Fireflies is the most moving movie done in animation, I’m really looking forward to seeing it this weekend :o)
Hey. Somehow I got diverted from this thread. Where were you able to download those episodes from? I’d love to have them.

I thought it was a mask some dude wore. You sure its CGI or Robotics?

snuggles the bear is waaay creepier than orval.

That’s what I thought it was, and not a very good mask at that. I think modern, top-shelf CGI could have done a much better job.

No kidding, I honestly can’t get over just how creepy it is.

Is the blonde girl the same person who’s playing the pickle?

And really, does anyone honestly know what the fuck that commercial is about? Is it an ad for something?

I’m genuinely curious/terrified…

Ahh. Tried KaaZaa - too much spyware. Tried Frostwire - sucked. Did get some Mr. Bean episodes. Couldn’t find any F.T. or Blackadder.

Thanks

I think, if anything, it’s a guy with a green screen-mask on, so only the head is computerized. But I’m not even positive of that.

I wish I could explain what’s wrong with it, but that’s the whole conundrum. Something about the glasses and the eyes, they’re not right.

Lifeless eyes, like a doll’s eyes. (Reference for bonus points…anyone?)

Dangit, where’s PGA when we need him?

Way to easy. Your prize…a mildly disturbing picture of the end of Quint.

CGI: http://www.suntimes.com/business/lazare/217441,CST-FIN-lew19.articleprint

You have too much faith in “modern, top-shelf CGI,” which brought us the likes of the hulk, for example.

Generally, CGI is NOT used for long, close-up sequences of a person’s face for precisely this reason. It’s just too hard to do convincingly. Where it is done well, you don’t notice it, but you can see the difference if you know it is there. Spiderman is an example. The last Harry Potter movie had a scene of Harry swimming that featured a CGI version of him, which was clearly fake.

CGI for realism does well on a character like Dobby, where we don’t know what he should look like, or in situations that don’t require facial expressions.

Seeing as how Rupaul was in there, I’m assuming it’s some kind of gay/tranny inside joke or film or something. Also, the T-1000 was played by Robert Patrick.

I would never get a movie or TV series using that method.

These programs are a little different. A
torrent will be faster and cleaner than things like limewire or kazaa. You could easily get F.T and Black Adder from a torrent, I’ll post the links…

Here is the search engine…

Just be sure as always, to have good virus protection, but the health of a file is rated.

And just for merry measure, here is a great site I found, that you can just stream and watch some of the best shows.

Not to totally hijack the thread, but why do you no longer use Azureus? I have never had any problems with it.

Many thanks. I’m not a technophile, so a large part of the cyber world is still unfamiliar to me. This will help, I’m sure.

I had no problems with Azureus, I simply wanted to try out a different program. tbh, there isn’t much of a difference…only slight.

And Wildcelt…no problem. I dont download massive amounts, just on imports mostly and the odd album.

Sorry for hijacking the thread and turning it so nerdy.
