Creatine + Post Workout?

Im taking creatine in pill form, and im required to take 2 before workout and 2 within 60 minutes after my workout. My question is, is it ok to take a post workout or just leave it to the creatine? I do take protein after my workout if anyone is wondering.

?

question is pretty straight forward if you ask me…

did you accidentally the whole thing?

I think you’re asking if you should take creatine by itself or with protein. It doesn’t really matter. At the end of the day, its the total amount of nutrients that matter. You may get bettr creatine absorption with food, or you may get better absorption without. Give both methods a try each for a few weeks (like 8) and see what happens.

no no, sorry about the confusion. I do take protein after my workout along with creatine, my question is should i take a post workout formula along with the creatine and protein or just leave it to the said two.

creatine and protein is a pretty good for a post workout shake, maybe add some BCAAs but overall creatine and protein will get the job done.

You are just overloading yourself with supplements. I’m sorry but just eat man. I learned the hard way that supplements cost a shit ton of money, and theres NO substitute to just eating a shit ton. Don’t matter how much protein or nutrients you get if you don’t get the calories over deficit.

protein powder is cheaper per gram of protein than most whole foods and creatine is like 5 bucks a month…

Creatine does seem to work for some, but not everyone. For me, it just made me gain water and made me look puffy. Didn’t see much gain in the strength department.

My whey powder costs me 39 cents a serving and Biotest’s creatine lasts over 3 months at a cost of 19 cents a serving.

I really wasn’t focusing on the price. I just meant theres no substitution for real food. I spent 60 bucks though on mass gainers a year back and didn’t get anywhere cause I used it as the sole thing I’d keep track of. 60 bucks for 90 scoops (was 3 scoops a serving though). So 2 bucks a frigin serving. I guess it’s not that expensive, but it adds up.

I must have missed where the OP stated that he wasn’t eating enough. No one in this thread ever claimed or implied that these supplements were replacements for “real” food.

It was a simple newbie question about protein and creatine.
