Creatine & Bowel Troubles

Okay so I’ve been loading for a few days now.

SIDE NOTE:
I realize this is unnecessary but the plan is to try it this way for a couple months then take a month off and try it without loading and see which I like better.

Okay the problem.
When I take it on a completely empty stomach which is first thing in the morning or atleast a couple hours after a meal I feel fine, wonderful.

But I normally eat about 2 hours before my workout. So I’ll eat, wait 30-45 minutes take my preworkout creatine and then 30 minutes later drink a cup of coff and drive to the gym.
Either just before my workout or immediately after I have the worst stomach pain, watery poop/constipation

YES YES you read correctly I have both watery diarrhea and constipation. Let me explain this better. When I push nothing comes out, but if I just relax through the pain and just let it slide it gushes out and I’ll have 4-5 of these episodes. the first shit will be solid though but every subsequent shit gets more and more liquidy.

okay so the obvious answer is to not take so close to a meal and just to take it on an empty stomach and see if this ever happens again or to stop loading and take one single dose a day.

but if this is happening shouldn’t I consider just not taking it at all. If my body is just like fuck this so bad that it makes me shit myself.

EDIT: (btw my diet is PRETTY healthy in the sense that I only have one wipers I never have soft mushy or diarrhea type poop.)

Try Biotest creatine malate ( Biotest monohydrate if you want that route ) or another brand and see if the same thing happens.

Even with Biotest if I go over 5g a day I’ll get increased watery stools. So I either stick to 5 a day, or well, deal with the crap.

Just don’t load. A teaspoon a day and you’re good.

The brand does make a huge difference. Just make sure there’s a couple to a few hours inbetween creatine dosing.

Why does it have to be all or nothing?

That’s like saying I know Vitamin C is good so I took 10 grams a day and started shitting my pants so now I don’t take it at all.

More is not always better.

Yeah the problem was drinking it too close to a meal. I now know I need to wait about 2 hours after a meal before I ingest any creatine and atleast 20 minutes or so before a meal on an empty stomach

Try a second generation creatine like CEE or Krealkalyn, much easier on the stomach/less sides
