squirrels are cool. i would keep it, name it and get a leash to walk it ![]()
Has Thorn accepted this squirrel in his territory? My SBT gets jealous any time I show attention to another animal or child!
I had a baby squirrel come up to me while I was playing basketball in the driveway when I was 14. Just waltzed right up and jumped in my hand. It was really cool until I put him in a tree and he tried to climb out and follow me inside. Then my dog saw him (I called him freddy) and ripped him in half.

Thatās for gerbils.
Yo, Bushy. I found this link on how to care for baby squirrels. While most instructions are for infant squirrels, thereās a page on what foods are good and bad for youngsters, and how to best release them back to the wild.
wow, that site looks like it was made in 1997.

In UK grey squirrel is an invasive species. Itās illegal to breed them and release them in the wild.

dudeā¦
When I was a kid, my friend next door had one that fell out of a nest or something like that. He kept him in a bird cage in his room when it was small and a bigger cage as it got bigger. It was very tame and we used to hand feed it all the time. Eventually his mom made him turn it loose as it got bigger. After it was outside, it would still come up to him and play, looking for food. Eventually it got used to being with the rest of the squirrel kingdom and forgot about him⦠or something happened to it. All squirrels look the same to me.

.
Well, we just have a bunch of squirrel biologists up in here, donāt we?

Considering the high volume of egg laying mammals there are in the world SOMEBODY has to do it, else the general masses might get confused. ^^

Hey Ostertag did you lose a bet also? Why are you mounting some young kid? Or are you the young kid? Not judging but you do seem to lack some normal brain function in regards to mammals and development. Are you from Australia? Squirrels are not platypi or is it platypusses?

Hereās a nest with the eggs from one female squirrel.
It obviously has a deceptively large snatch.
