Busy- Edgy will show you where the pom poms are and how to do all the cheers. :wink:

Alexus- Yep lifting chicks in real life are good to have around, actually finding anyone in the gym who knows what they are doing is a good thing. She was especially helpful with getting the last rep, I probably wouldn’t have tried it without a spotter.

For Deadlift I like:

-any lunge variety

  • hamms
  • more back work(rows, etc)

Shoulders:

-1 arm presses

  • lat raises/rear delt work
    -any vertical pulling

we keep the pom poms over in this cubby, you were supposed to disrobe in the ante-chamber, prior to stepping into PW…just pic a locker, it’s safe…there’s a robe you can put on, but of course, it’s just a litttle too short for comfort…I didn’t pick it out, it’s standard issue by the PW committee.

while wandering through these threads, you will be expected to have your cookies on display, thankfully the heat is up in this place, so there are no shrinkage issues…so far anyways.

you will be handled, oogled and basically demeaned. It’s the price we pay to be beefcake.

Okay sorry for the no posting in my log guys. I admit I have just been coming to TN to ogle the guys lately, but it is the most important part I think. :smiley:

But anyways it really is the long hours and no cell phone to go online while working. :frowning:

My workouts are good, when I get to them. I will be getting some temp passes to another gym as mine does not have a schedule that is compatible with my sleeping schedule. I will not give up sleep for gym! So that means I need another gym for at least one day out of the week. I substitute some bw exercises for the lift I am deloading and do those at work.

Mim- I like the vertical pulling for the shoulder accessory, I have not tried this yet. I think I would like to do lowerbody stuff as an accessory to dl because I find my back is pooped after the main lift.

Edgy- Thanks for showing Busy the ropes. <3

Bre and Ouroboro- Yes there is a slight pause, it is from tryng to break down the move. Lock in back position then drive up with legs, then thrust forward. I am trying to eliminate it now that I am mostly happy with my back position.

Maschy- Unfortunately Edgy is on vacation and is not available to post pics. :frowning: I’ll try to remember to leave it idle when Edgy is around and very bored. That’s when he posts the best pics. :smiley:

Deads- I think I was supposed to try for another 1RM but I was pmsing(was supposed to be last week for pms but things got screwy) so decide to just do regular week 1 lifts. I will try some singles on 531 day instead.

DL
65%=115lbs 5
75%=135lbs 5
85%=155lbs 5,5,3 (I just didn’t want to go past 5 lol)

I did pendalays and then weighted planks. I had planed on doing weighted glute bridges but was pmsing so opted out and the dls wiped me out too.

Squats- There are 2 totals for 95% because the calculated weight was 118.something which is right in the middle so I decided if I can get one of 115 I would then try for 120.

Squats
75%=95lbs 5
85%=105lbs 3
95%=115lbs 2 :slight_smile:
or 120lbs 2 :slight_smile:
PR- First time with the 35lbs plates. Like a boss! :smiley:

Accessories- RDL, squat practice, planks

Bench- Kinda sucked, I was pooped for some reason before I even started. The heat maybe??

I use the deload weights for my practice and for some reason I could do ridiculous number of reps of these weights. Maybe it’s fear that is holding me back in bench. Hmmm

I think I will look into rack pulls as an accessory in place of “DL practice”. I think these you can do with heavier weight right? I would like to do farmers walks or something like that but not sure there is room. I will have to ask the lady/lad at the desk if I can use one of the gyms for that.

I will be trying out shoulders at the new gym. We’ll see how the gym and my shoulders are. :slight_smile:

edit: squat form looks pretty good considering its a PR - for the goodmornings you need to arch your lower back HARD and keep your head higher which will bring the chest up.

oh dear. yeah, i think there are a bunch of guys at my gym looking to get ‘toned’, too. a few of the gym trainers seem to be into crossfit (which is a little weird for guys, i think). guess most chicks are a little intimidated by big guys who grunt etc. congrats on using those plates for your squats. i certainly understand the plate milestone thing. i’m gonna be doing happy dance indeed when i can squat that!!!

as for cute gym clothes… DO IT!! i hate shopping for gym clothes… trying to find something comfortable that i’m sorta okayish about how it looks on me. sometimes takes a couple weeks for me to feel comfortable in wearing it. but… eventually… it helps me feel good, yeah. my t-shirts / singlets seem to stretch out the front after a while, too. think it is because i yank on the front of them out of habit sometimes. dunno.
