Crash & Destroy?

2 nights ago a friend of mine  brewed up a rather generous amount of Test E at 250mg/ml and once filtered (.2um), left it out to bottle the next day (sealed in sterile filter reservoir). The next day he noticed it was cloudy. He re-heated and although it cleared up quite nicely, he couldnā€™t get the swirlies to permanently dissipate.

For over 2 hours yesterday he attempted to rid of the swirlies. The temp of the brew itself actually read as high as 255F by the time he was done. He re-filtered as suggested. All looked good until it fully cooled, he could see it was beginning to cloud up again. This morning it is definitely cloudy.

Btw, the powder was never actually dry. As many of you know quite often it comes in a hardened wax-type form; thatā€™s what this was. There have not been problems in the past with brews crashing due to this form.

So, is it technically crashed?

Is there anything else that can possibly be done to save this batch?

Must it be destroyed?

Iā€™m as curious to hear some responses to this as you are. Iā€™ve never experienced a basic test e 250mg/ml brew that was twice filtered that would, for some reason, continue to crash. Yet, test e is such a cheap powder that thereā€™s little chance of itā€™s being replaced with another powder (like tren being replaced with deca or test).

ā€œWetā€ test e powder shouldnā€™t really be much of an issue, either, as it is just in mid-state change from solid to liquid, which is going to happen to any powder anyway, no matter how dry it is, if you are making a solution.

If I had to say something, Iā€™d say try cutting it down to 200mg/ml and see what happens.

Sorry I canā€™t be of more help here. Usually one more filtration is what does the trick for me.

add BBā€¦i for one have found that in order to guarantee a lovely clear liquid i sometimes have to use signifigantly more BB than tradition suggests. I know alot of guys will say i am worng but if you want to save it add more BB

Thatā€™s true, I didnā€™t think to ask what your BA/BB/ect ratio was, Mousse? I pretty well always use 2/20 just for simplicityā€™s sake, because it tends to work with pretty much everything. Did you use 20%BB?

Shit. I wish I had at least tried that before dumping it. It was of course at 20% though. Iā€™ve always run 2:20

MP: Have you run into situations where you have had to go above the traditional 20%? If so, how high have you gone?

Hereā€™s how it looked btw

Too small to see anything, Mousse. You got a bigger one you could throw up there?

no never had to go much over 20% but regardless if its not in solution obviously its not adequate. Sometimes i thnk this results from a powder weight issue. For instance lets say we order 10 grams of test e powder and plan to use it all. we factor out all our ratios and dump everything together and off we go.

next thing we know we have a problem like thisā€¦my only thought on it is thisā€¦was it actually 10 grams of powderā€¦or was it shipped heavy by mistake throwing all the solvent ratios off. before someone freaks out and starts belittling me yeah i know we should weigh everything blah blah blah. but the fact is i am sure i am not the only one that has ordered x amount of powder for a specific purpose and assumed it was correct.

this situation happened once to me and to be honest i just kept adding BB until it held. At that point the ratio didnā€™t really matter and i donā€™t know what it was. like i said i could only assume that there was more raw material than i thought. i still donā€™t think i went over 20% i just think my powder weight was not what i had assumed it was.

This makes some sense. Although Iā€™m no angel and I have in fact neglected to weigh a powder or two, this was not the case here. Iā€™m currently brewing 4 bottles of Te Prop with all the same ingredients; my guess is that it is the Cottonseed oil (not sure why but this is what I suspect). Just finished the brew and will have clear or unclear results in the morning

Thanks for help guys. S - Iā€™ll email you a better pic.

Peace,
